Nintendo and I have had our differences over the years, but even with a nearly endless capacity for petty, baseless grudges it's hard for me to ignore the epic list Nintendo has unveiled of their 2008 releases. I say epic because this is just the list for the first half of '08; and with nearly 150 games between the Wii and DS listed even I have a hard time maintaining a stodgy, no-fun visage.
Sadly, miracles and Santa Clause still aren't real and Smash Bros. remains listed for release in March; but if nothing else Mario Kart for the Wii is on target for a Spring release. You can start blaming me for jinxing that now.
Now with Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword and Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles on this list I'm sure to catch a fierce beating for even thinking this, but personally, I'm excited about Insecticide above all else. Hit the jump for the full list and tell us with which games you'll earn the scorn of your peers for being excited about.

Opoona still looks bizarre enough to be worth keeping an eye on. But it'll probably suck.
March 25: Okami from Capcom thats all I found, but wait, that's a port.
Spring: LEGO: Indiana Jones from LucasArts, this could actually be good.
Still no release date for Fire Emblem DS. I haven't seen any new info about that game since October. It's like it never existed.
@Mix
If it's anything like the LEGO StarWars games, it will be amazing.
..........wa....want? I'm scared..but I can never see the name "Harvest Moon" without thinking "DO WANT". and then it has "cute" in the title. Which amplifyes this feeling...
it makes me a saad boy. I have so many DS games from the first year and a half it was out..and then..nothing interested me.
*sigh*
gba dodgeball is still one of my fav games
Qais, you are quickly becoming my favorite picture subtitler.
Also, yeah. Other than NMH, SSB:Brawl, and The World Ends with You (DS), there's nothing I'm really excited about on that list.
I might get Okami again since I think it will benefit from the Wiimote and I never got around to beating it on PS2 but that's a port, and Baroque looks interesting but I still don't know much about it.
Also, anyone else notice that Sadness is nowhere on this list? Just saying.
How come I haven't heard anything about this game before? Will have to check it out.
"February: Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30(TM)"
Isn't a really old game?
@Neonie
It's girl version of HM DS
On those game lists, I see No More Heroes, Dragon Quest Swords, Super Smash Bros., Force Unleashed, and maybe Opoona for Wii; and Professor Layton, Harvest Moon DS Cute, Harvest Moon Island, Advance Wars, River King, Project Exile (!!!), and Ninja Gaiden DS as competitors for my scant mone.
As for Okami... no way, from what I heard they're retailing it at $50. If it pulls a RE4 and goes for $30 I'll definitely get it, but not for full price.
I would just like to see Oboro Muramasa Youtouden Wii be released outside of Japan this year. That game looks sweet.
No More Heroes, Okami (missed it the first time around on PS2), Barogue, Brawl, Mario Kart, Apollo Justice, Ninja Gaiden DS, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, even with a job now, there's no way I'm going to be able to afford all this stuff.
I would be excited for Baroque, but it's not a Wii exclusive, so I'm not sure if that counts.
I just loves me my JRPGs...
Other announced games, that we know nothing about, and don't have release dates:
Animal Crossing Wii
Disaster: Day of Crisis
Wii Music
Kirby Wii (rumored cancellation, maybe)
Lego: Indiana Jones, Okami.....
Sweet.
And Okami.
DO WANT on that game, fo sho
Ew....
It's like looking for a jewel amongst a sea of horse feces.
May: King of Fighters: The Orochi Saga from SNK Playmore
I can't Ubisoft has the balls to port the PS2 version of the 3 year-old version of Brothers in Arms - Road to Hill 30. We should be getting the new version of Hell's Highway just like the 360 and PS3. Capcom also has the balls to re-release Okami.
Here's hoping that For Racing Off Road is the first in a long line of AAA 3rd party racers on the Wii.
I'm also looking forward towards Disaster - Day of Crisis in the 2nd half of 08.
Red Steel 2 better be the most revolutionary FPS game made on any console to date (kind of what Goldeneye 64, Half-Life, Counterstrike, Battlefield, Halo, Far Cry PC, Escape From Butcher Bay, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. were back in the day). Ubisoft, the Wii is the defacto platform for FPS games, so make this one count, no excuses.
Red Steel 2 have better be the new Halo.
D= Not to mention the additional Brawl Delay.
The list in brief:
ds list = decent,
wii list = lawl.
(I'm a straight guy by the way).
