June 16th. That's right during E3. That's also when the Official Nintendo Magazine is set to reveal a "world exclusive" in its 57th issue.
I see what's happening here. We're effectively free advertising for the mag by running this. Ah, who cares. According to CVG the mag says:
...you may want to mark Wednesday 16 June in your diary. We'll be revealing world exclusive details on a top secret new game in the next issue of ONM. We had to make sure we cover this new game which is why ONM 56 and 57 are both being released on a Wednesday rather than a Friday as usual
Given the timing, I'd bet it's the print exclusive. I'm also betting that Nintendo's E3 press conference is going to steal much of ONM's thunder. If you're curious, I'd say your best bet is to stay here at Destructoid and hop on our liveblog of the press conference. Our Twitter feed is also a good pick. Sorry ONM. Didn't mean to spin this in our favor. This all is really just an invitation for us to speculate what Nintendo could be announcing at E3.
Any ideas?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
DID I MENTION KID FUCKING ICARUS?
I am genuinely very curious.
Star Fox and Kirby are the only franchises I can thnk of right now that might fit.
Wait, what?
That said, I'm hoping for something really good to be announced :).
THIS IS STAR FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOX!!!
Also, how did they know I have a diary!? *runs to check lock*
Project Sora is working on a new IP.
Retro Studios is working on a new title.
Miyamoto confirmed that he's working on a new MotionPlus title back in early 2010.
Could be Legend of Zelda or even Pikmin 3.
I bet its Legend of Zelda.
Really though, I hope it's as good as Metroid: Other M. Otherwise...Pete, get the f&^# down here with your brand new PS3--it's time for some Super Street Fighter 4 this Summer.
I called it.
- sigh - if not it may well be some wholly unoriginal franchise the ninty fanboys never shut up about. Let's see, there's Kid Icarus, Pikmin, Kirby (cont..to infinity). And before I get labelled 'hater' or any other shit that basically says that the person can't deal with another person's opinions or else their 1" dick will explode, I happen to respect and admire Nintendo greatly (I do have a dust-free wii and own the last 3 gen Ninty consoles) - I just think their franchises are tired beyond belief at the moment and could do with some new IPs.
Here's hoping!
"A NEW CHIBI ROBO
I called it."
We would be so lucky.
