Nintendo gives American Wii owners another round of VC crap photo

Want to play Mario Kart 64? Well, you'll either have to wait or undust the Nintendo 64 because Nintendo hates you and decided to release the craptacular NES duo of Urban Champion and Baseball instead.

Yeah, that's it. Not much else to say. We got burned. Nurse that New Year's Eve hangover and play some real games instead.

This has already been discussed, they aren't remakes, they're virtual console games, which means they're emulated versions of the exact games released on the original console.

Are the prices too high? Yep. In my opinion, perfect emulation of N64 games is the only real worth of the virtual console. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to play Kirby's Dream Course on my xbox.

I love my Nintendo as much as anyone, but Virtual Console is pretty shitty so far. The authenticity angle is such a cop out. I don't care so much about the releases, they will come soon enough. But please Nintendo, add online support in some titles, how hard can it be? Oh and keeping the region protection and exclusivity? LAME. I guess no Chrono Trigger for me! And no Sin and Punishment for anyone but the Japanese! KEWL.

I can understand complaints about the slow releases, but the unyielding mob mentality on lack of updated games needs to be broken, and people need to stop and think. The first online game on Wii is going to be Pokemon, and it's going to be sometime in Q2 of this year. They will not release online VC games before this date.

Now go to the FAQ on the Wii Shop Channel. From skimming it, you can ascertain that many VC games could have (free) updates to add enhancements. There's a connection there. Yeah, the fact that we're going to have to wait (gasp) still sucks, but get a grip, dammit.

Resume whining.
