Nintendo fanboyism now in ludicrous speed
You gotta love Nintendo fans. No matter what obstacles are in their way, they will overcome them. Come hell or highwater, nothing will ever get them down. Case in point: Despite Gears of War getting all kinds of praise from gamers and gaming journos alike, the Nintendo fanboys at Infendo and 4cr are unphased in their Wii devotion. Have a look at this from Infendo, who do say it is a "great game," but yet bash it in the same piece:
It’s because [Gears of War] is the same thing you were playing last year, with a new coat of paint. Oh, and a $10 next gen tax. And yet the reviewers are gushing over it. Honestly, if this is perfection, then count me out of the next gen race. Sure, you can slap on motion sensing to the 360 and the PS3 very easily, but their price points and development costs make that an unlikely success in the long run. Enter the Wii again. In a nutshell, this is what companies like MS and Sony think the next gen should be. Pretty graphics, great sound, and solid gameplay that we've all seen before over the last 10 years. The next five years will be about playing it safe and brand new televisions and re-buying the DVDs you already have with Blu-Ray/HD DVD ones. The next gen is an 8 out of 10. Unfortunately, playing it safe means you never move forward, and that doesn't help anybody. Enter Wii.My God Ninty fans, can't you just accept that Microsoft and even Sony make good games too? Just because it doesn't say Nintendo or Mario or Zelda on the cover, doesn't mean it's tired and bloated. Why can't you just love all things equally? Most of us do and we're having a grand old time. Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)Yo yo, k well lemme dive into a little self orientated history. Ive been a switcher, between nintendo and sony and MS. ive owned all their consoles at some point or another. I do think that nintendo has a lot more games that focus on the gameplay. Look at the fats, nintendo has never once had a console that had graphics better than xbox or ps. Today whilst browsing for wii videos on youtube i found one that was tiled, wii sucks ps3 rulez. basically the guy was saying that the design of the console/controller was nothing new and that the wii was just crap. Lets take a little look at the ps3 remote shall we. wait, isnt that a ps2 and a ps1 remote with the wire removed. My god, its genius, never been done before. I do believe nintendo was the first console to offer a stricktly wireless controler. Basically nintendo hav always pushed the boundaries with their new consoles. Im an open minded guy and have given all consoles a shot, but personally i have never been as excited bout a console. as i am for the wii. It would be nice to chat to you some time on skype rob, i love ur wii vids. ;) 10:15 PM on 04.23.2013 Game Debate to the Death!
