Nintendo downloads: Family fun! Ninjas! Sudoku! Rocking! photo

Hardcore gamers everywhere rejoice! PictureBook Games: Pop-Up Pursuit (1-4 players, 800 Wii Points) is available on WiiWare today! It's a board game, set in a pop-up picture book! Will be great fun alongside Family Slot Car Racing (1-2 players, 500 Wii Points), which is also available on WiiWare. Yes.

So we kid, but this is no joke -- The Revenge of Shinobi (1 player, 800 Wii Points) is your virtual console game of the week. It doesn't get much more hardcore than playing this Sega Genesis classic. Well, you could play it while dressed up like Joe Musashi. Send us pictures if that's your plan, please.

More good news -- DSiWare is getting more Brain Age spin-off title, which we don't have enough of. Or Sudoku games. Let's marry them -- Brain Age Express: Sudoku (1 player, 500 DSi Points) is now available for download. If you're more into sex, drugs, and rock n' roll than you are puzzles, Guitar Rock Tour (1-4 players, 500 DSi Points) is your other option. This Gameloft music title will have you rocking to covers of your favorite songs like Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" and Bloc Party's "Banquet."

What are you buying this week?

*Bloc Party. Sorry that I'm kind of an ass when it comes to some of my favorite bands

To be fair, Brain Age's Sudoku is what made me start playing that, and I do like it more than some free online ones and the one on my phone.

Sudoku is the reason I bought Brain Age in the first place. But I already bought the Hudson one previously. Maybe if I clear all of those puzzles, I might pick it up.

Nothing on virtual console. I've been trying to find a decent DS game in Britain before I fly back to California, but it seems like anything I'm interested in is too obscure.

...or that mainstream British game stores suck. At least as far as the DS goes.
