Nintendo does it hardcore at E3 photo

Although this whole "hardcore" and "casual" stuff is divisive nonsense, one can't pretend that Nintendo isn't exactly pandering to those of us who, say, wear T-shirts with Triforces on them and wax lyrical on how the opera scene in Final Fantasy VI was the best thing ever produced. Nintendo knows this, and has promised that our sad and nerdy ears will prick up at E3.

"We will be announcing several new titles that core gamers will be interested in around the time of E3," stated Nintendo's PR chief Marc Franklin, who also asserted that "the clear majority of people waiting in line outside retailers on Sunday mornings to buy their Wii consoles are core gamers."

Killing Mama -- I'm calling it.

Does anybody remember that Wii Airplane game they showed a year or two ago? Maybe that's one of their new titles. Not that 'hardcore', but screw it, it looked like fun.

My guesses on Franchises:

Kid Icarus, PilotWings, Star Fox, Yoshi's Island, Project H.A.M.M.E.R., Fire Emblem, Paper Mario, and of course, a new Zelda game.

It could also refer to 3rd party games: such as a console Castlevania (would be great for the system), Mega Man 9, or a project by former Ready at Dawn or Clover employees.

Im hoping for some new DS games. A new Zelda perhaps or even a new Mario would be nice too.

I'm guessing Kid Icarus, Pikmin 3, and maybe Starfox.

Could this be it?
Something that would stop me for trading my Wii in for a 360 elite, that costs only 50$ more?

MAKE ME BELIVE, NINTENDO.

They should make a new Battletoads game for the Wii.

I've been saying this for about 15 years. Just replace Wii with whatever system was relevant at the time I said it.

So more Mario Sports titles?

3rd Party-wise, Mad World has me interested as well as Conduit.

I'm guessing a new Kid Icarus, many things to do with Mario, possibly something to do with Donkey Kong(Hopefully), a new Zelda, and a couple of long shots would be Kirby and Star Fox. They might(and hopefully) announce a Fire Emblem game for the Wii, maybe even an Earthbound game. Oh, and a Metroid game. Man Nintendo better wow me, because Microsoft is going to be bringing out some big guns this year. And I am not bashing Nintendo, I have loved them since I was a kid and will continue to but this year I might have to give my money to Microsoft, unless Nintendo blows me away.

I don't understand the anticipation for Kid Icarus. The original was essentially an average platform shoot-em-up, I own it, liked it but have never thought it very special.
I'm hoping for a new F-zero, one that uses a similar game engine to GX with a more varied Xcup mode from the Snes F-zeroX. No innovation just polish thanks.
Pilot Wings and Pikmin 3 would be nice too.
