We've been updating you weekly on the Nintendo DLC releases for a long time now, but I didn't realize that the Wii has already seen 500 downloadable releases. It's official this week. Hats off to Nintendo for continuing to bring out content for gamers.
The original Super Smash Bros from the N64 makes it onto the shop this week for 1,000 Wii Points. I don't know how well it has aged, though. The Arcade version of Ninja Gaiden (600 points) has probably aged better.
As for WiiWare, Eco Shooter: Plant 530 (1,000 Wii points) lets you save the world with a "recycle cannon," while Pallurikio brings some puzzle action for the same price. TV Show King 2 (800 points) lets you get your quiz on, and Happy Holidays Christmas lets you make holiday e-cards for friends.
Hot and Cold: A 3D Hidden Object Adventure is seriously a thing for DSiWare. Classics UNO and Dragon's Lair (both 800 Wii Points) are more my speed. High Stakes: Texas Hold ' Em comes out for you gamblers. Lastly, myNotebook: Green comes from a publisher with the best name ever: Nnooo.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I...think you're missing the point. I still play the original more often than I play Brawl.
Still, some people just prefer the feel. It is a bit different. Pikachu, for instance, is a beast.
This game plays quite differently, it's a lot less hectic, so it's somewhat "technical" we could say. Also, I PREFER THE HIT SOUND EFFECTS OF THIS A THOUSAND TIMES OVER MELEE/BRAWL.
Realistic punch sounds don't cut it for me. Give me that weird plastic sound.
You know, the one where you have to clear a path for a truck carrying a nuke using whatever vehicles the levels gave you.
Hope its out before the 600th milestone.

It needed repeating. Blast Corps was great.
