Impressive amount of games. Unfortunately 99% of them are either old or shovelware.

Well, personally, I think it's a good start. I'll be picking up Mario and ZombiU, followed by Rayman and Pikmin3. Kind of considering Black Ops since I never got the chance to play it.

I was a bit confused by Wipeout 3. Turns out it's based on the TV show, not the Sony racing game.

thats the good thing about coming out very latley with a consol. You can get so many ports

Ninja Gaiden, Wonderful 101, and Scribblenauts are the only ones on there that really interest me, but I've never taken home a lunch system with more than one game (just due to money) so that's not bad. 23's a pretty good amount, but many are also just ports of existing games most of us have played or shovelware.

I havent seen a good a launch lineup as that yet

Frankly the Wiimote was the last gimmicky controller I'd have the displeasure of using. I simply refuse to use that behemoth.

Getting at launch: NSMB U, NintendoLand [Bundle].

Getting later: Mighty Switch Force HD, Game & Wario, Pikmin 3, Rayman Legends, Wonderful 101.

Rayman Legends not being a launch title is disappointing, but oh well.

console launches in November, and you're bringing games out in February, they're not "launch window" titles.

I think the list is great. There are already two games I want to get but I can only get one. That's pretty good as far as I'm concerned. When you're trying to wrestle on what to buy, then that's a good launch list. I'll also get one DD game as well. Frankly, all these people who say they want to see 20-50 amazing games don't make any sense, it's like you can buy them all.

It's easy to have a list like this when you're launching, tech-wise, a same-gen console and most of these are just carry-over ports. The *unique* games are still decent, but not incredible.

Also... just curious, is there something wrong with my RSS feeds for you guys or do you just not have a clue how to do them? I get entire articles in my RSS and I really don't want to remove you from my RSS but if it's on you guys... then I've got no problem missing articles because you don't know how to RSS headlines-only.

Not a bad lineup, though I wish it had a single killer app like a main Mario game or Zelda.

so that's VERY impressive list of games for just 5 months on the market - with a lot of exclusive and a lot of additional content in multiplatform games.

Meh line-up.

If you're an avid single player gamer and enjoy good action games it looks like as a U owner you're going to be starved for a year or two until something thats as good as no more heroes comes along. No different from most launches i suppose... oh wait the PS1 launched with Tekken and Twisted Metal... wow how could i have been so naive ;)

All I care about is The Wonderful 100, Rayman Legends, ZombiU, and I think Lego City Undercover could be fun, but thats its. Bayonetta 2 as well but there is no date on that yet.

that's a solid lineup in that you could buy a wiiU and not want for something worth playing. as mentioned by burningphoenix though, i don't really see anything you could call a "killer app".i guess EM2 may have enough pull to fill that role, and there are enough potentially big games (like zombiu) that nintendo can afford to let buyers see how things pan out before diving in. it's not like they have much direct competition at this point.

Nothing really grabbing me about the lineup, but other than the Wii there hasn't been a single hardware release with launch day "must-have" titles for me since the N64/PSX/Saturn generation.

Get a No More Heroes and a Metroid on this console and Nintendo will have my money in a heartbeat.

Unless the Wii U version of Colonial Marines turns out to be the definitive version. Which I figure is possible but unlikely since it will also be coming to PC.

The 360 and PS3 are being maxed graphically with games like AC3 and Arkham City.

The Wii U can pull off those games without even breaking a sweat. They're LAUNCH titles, for crying out loud.

You cant really blame people for not being interested in a lot of these games. there is quality here no doubt. and no denying there is a shit ton of ports here also.

majority of us have already eatablished libraries on ps3/360

while it might not be the case with all, nintendo has become only a first party gaming machine. i am happy nintendo is pushing 3rd party support but as of now majority of those games i have on ps3 already or would just get it on ps3.

With that being said im still getting the wii u. Nsmbu and zombiu are def worth getting the system for. and with 2 more exclusives i want in the launch window is an amazing sign to come.

The launch day list is pretty solid, but the launch window list has nothing of interest to me.

Is it just me, or has this "launch window" term just recently started being used this generation? I think I remember Microsoft or Sony using the same term earlier for their consoles. Hell it could have been Nintendo again for it's 3DS...doesn't matter. I feel like their just trying to make themselves sound better because it has the word "launch" in the term. A four month launch? No.

I think this year for my birthday, I'll stretch it out to a solid four months...

That's a solid lineup? Most of them seem to be ports and the games that are first party still aren't screaming at me to buy an overpriced console. I have been an early adopter of all Nintendo hardware in the past, but not this time.

The rest of the "more interesting" games I have already played (Darksiders 2, Batman, CoD XIII2 Jarhead Returns) or are utter crap (SiNG, Wipeout, anything fitness and dancing related) or can be played on consoles that people probably already have in their homes.

Mass Effect 3 isn't gonna make launch? That's odd. I mean, that's probably the oldest game on this whole list, right? I guess it's 'cause they're including DLC, but still, weird. Anyway, very solid lineup. Still not feeling like I wanna get a new console, but maybe I will.

The only game announced so far for WiiU that I'm interested in getting is Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate. Looks like I won't be getting a WiiU for a while then.

So, no pikmin 3 on launch day means I won't have to rundown old ladies and children to find one now. I wonder if these pre-orders are just manufactured hype. When the 3DS launched there were just piles of unsold units, I seriously doubt that the wii U will be sold out.
