Well there goes me setting aside time for Mega Man Legends 3 prototype (yes, I might actually shell out for it).
I don't think the system is doomed, not by a long shot. But they could have held the launch back by a few months to get better games ready and launch all of its features with it. Or at least keep the wait between 3DS purchase to Ocarina of Time 3D to a minimum. Can't be helped I guess.

I still don't see why everyone is so desperate for the eShop. I want it too, but I've got 6 3DS games to play until then, all of them pretty damn good too. Between Ridge Racer, Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, Monkey Ball, Samurai Warriors and now Dream Trigger (which is fking brutal), I can wait for the shop.
....god damn it nintendo. I was one of the only people get the 3DS at mid-night release and after the weak launch your going to do this now.
I of course, want the eshop to come out (Mainly for Megaman Legends 3 Prototype Version and Super Mario Land), but considering that DOA and Blazblue are supposedly coming out within a week of each other before the eShop does, I have little problem waiting. Patience is a virtue.
@RenegadePanda - I'm still playing Street Fighter, Samurai Warriors and I just got Lego Pirates. That and I've been rotating in some DS games, mostly Monster Tale right now. I still don't see this "bad launch" people are fictionalizing about.
The only thing about the lack of an eShop that's making me impatient is my Flipnote Hatena fix. Browsing it on the web just isn't as fun for some reason. Hard to navigate that site. Aside from that, I can wait so long as its ready.
But with some people, you'd think they'd die before DoA Dimensions or Zelda: OOT3D were out. I think I'll do something like (a) Keep playing the 3DS games I have (b) buy another 3DS game or (c) play a DS game, as I still have a sizeable backlog of those and they're still coming out.

Although I think most people are overreacting, I'm a little pissed. The 3DS launch is actually pretty good, but I don't want to buy any of those titles because better games are going to come out later. I've been hearing lots of good things about Shadow Wars, but I'd much rather wait for Valkyria Chronicles 3 (assuming that gets a NA release) my gaming budget is limited so when I buy something I make sure it's a good price, and that I will really enjoy the game.
My plan was to play some game boy VCON games while some retail games dropped in price and better titles came out, I was suppose to be playing Wario Blast, and Return of Samus right now. It's just another month, but this sucks

this vexes me I love ssf4 but well i have it on the 360 and 3ds so its getting a little played out. I was looking forward to this. *sigh* hopfuly this means moar games on the VC . I guess its back to piledriving people on Street Fighter. I dont mean to gloat but no one seems to know how to counter a zangief on the 3ds version for ssf4. so yay I win 90% of the time. YAY BEATING UP 9 YEARS ON VIDEO GAMES MAKES ME FEEL GOOD!!!!!!!! Vex is a good word I like vex ill keep it.
everyone realizes that as soon as the e shop is released, jim is just going to start complaining about the titles that are available, right? seriously, think about available launch titles in the past. the ps2, ds, wii, n64, and genesis come to mind. 3ds has better launch games than any of the devices mentioned, and we all know how successful said devices were.
long story short, nobody is going to care that the e shop didn't launch until june by the time the holiday season rolls around. and by 2012 we'll forget it ever was an issue. this is why these obsessive posts are ridiculous. jim, you're not going to have fun with your 3ds no matter what software is released, at least not until you stop obsessing over the "lack" of software. 3ds has, easily, the most diverse/plentiful selection of software yet released with a gaming device, and you can't seem to find a reason to like it. hmmm...
