Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus on Vita: Box art and new screens photo

Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus is coming to the PlayStation Vita next month at system launch, on February 22. More launch games? My wallet is crying already.

Today we have the game's box art and new screen shots, fresh from Tecmo Koei. In the screenshots you'll see that they've done a fine job of squeezing down the original PS3 game for Sony's new portable. What you won't see is how this remake uses all of the new input controls that Vita provides. The touchscreen, gyro sensor, and the rear touch pad are all used for ninja stuff.

This is basically confirming that I'm getting a Vita at launch. I went to the Vita event here in Chicago and it won me over.

This is a series that is legendarily hard. I wonder about how it will feel to grind on the missions and what the touch interfaces (and other controls) do to translate that hardness to a handheld experience.

I remember playing Monster Hunter on the PSP and was pretty hard and a grind fest (at times). It is curious to wonder how hard games - in general - such as: Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Demons Souls, and Trine, Super Meat Boy, etc all translate to the Playstation Vita.

Sounds pretty cool. I don't know how well it'll fly considering that this is now the fourth version of this game (Ninja Gaiden, Black, Sigma, and now Sigma Plus), but hey. At it's core, it's a really good game, I'm just thinking that everyone who wants it probably already owns some version of it by now.
