Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 GameStop exclusive Collector's Edition photo

It looks like fancy retailer GameStop has got its claws in yet another exclusive, this time with a collector's edition for Tecmo's Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma for PlayStatation 3. The $69.99 set will include (via GameStop.com):

  • 80 page book containing three sections
  • Art section of exclusive and vibrant Ninja Gaiden art
  • Color comic section that links to NGS2 in game cut scenes and corresponding storyline
  • Strategy guide section to assist you in advancing through the game

We assume the game will also be included as well. While we haven't seen what the set will look like, it doesn't sound as cool on paper as the "Premium Box" that Japan will be getting. That set will run gamers ¥9,980 ($104) and will include a soundtrack CD, an extremely slick box, and some awesome looking ninja accessories.

Tecmo hasn't officially announced this box yet, but we're sure the big reveal is coming soon. We contacted them a few days ago when the listing (sans description) first appeared on GameStop.com, and they were coy on the matter. We joked at the time that GameStop would probably beat them to the announcement; we thought that one was pretty funny!

Another GS exclusive... Seemingly every triple-A title is getting GS exclusive content or collector's editions.

I'll pass.

@nitex
My plan always was Demon's Souls , my current plan for my PS3 for this later half of the year is : BlazBlue , Demon's Souls , Brutal Legend and Prorotype ...

Yea, that Premium Edition looks more cooler than the GS edition.

I'll get this game, but was anyone suckered into the Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 "Collectors" edition?
It came with "Hi-res Boxart", which was a cardboard slipcover, and a DVD documenting the game's creation that was essentially a glorification of Team Ninja's nightlife.
It was shit. I feel bad that my friend wasted his ten extra dollars on it.

After being suckered into preordering Blazblue for the art book which was seriously disappointingly thin (nothing but a glorified instruction manual). Also LOL @ the current ebay prices for it. I'm not pre-ordering from Gamestop ever again.
