I'm all up for more Violence, but it seems that they're trying to make this 'Violence is beautiful' approach too seriously. But alas, ill wait for gameplay to make my judgement.

I just sold all my first person shooters in anticipation of Ninja Gaiden 3's multiplayer. I hate playing through a classically hard action game, only to find that I can't find the team deathmatch mode anywhere in the menus.
HOWEVER, If they take the MK approach and glorify the QTE sequences like having your camera zoomed in on your sword as you gut your foe clean with X-ray effects showing, then I'm interested.

If they imbue martial arts philosophy, I'll dig it. If not, just stop. Ryu is a cool character, but only because he is mysterious and deadly.

@Mattrodroid I'd genuinely love that. You'd need an appropriate reward for defending against or attacking another player, but ever since I saw Demon's Souls I've been hoping for the ability to invade someone's game and have something like 2:25 of the following occur:

That's poetry in motion. Be nice to have a more open world design as in the original, too. NG2 had some decent level design, but you were largely just running through them. No chance to just take time out and explore, or see how your actions were affecting the game world (like having the military sent out after you).

Hate to say it but the way he's pitching the game to us makes it sound like it's gonna be the Scrappy Doo to Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2's Scooby Doo, but we'll see I guess.
Eh. Don't really give two shits about a multiplayer. I liked the first two games, and can't wait to play this.
They can't get much worse in terms of characters and storyline than Volf the Wolf and the entirety of Ninja Gaiden 2. If it were not for the gameplay that game would have totally sucked. I don't even find it amusing or funny in a campy sort of way. It's just fucking lazy.
Also, pull the fucking camera back. Seriously, we know the game looks nice and all, we don't need to have the camera shoved up Ryu's ass crack to see it.

Ninja Gaiden is the best action game ever because it focused on gameplay and put everything into that instead of having a half-baked story like NG2.
And it's obvious the Move controls are going to be for breast manipulation.

I'm honestly curious if this is sarcasm. Because I honestly didn't get any of that from Ninja Gaiden 2. There was a girl with big boobs, the obligatory rival guy, and the old master guy. I don't recall Ryu really having any dialogue at all.

Obligatory post from a Ninja Gaiden/Itagaki fanboy, ending with cautious optimism and a stern warning to Team Ninja not to fuck everything up forever.
Just copy NG Black you dolts. I'm pretty sure they own the source code. Just HD filter that engine and make new moves/levels.
I really enjoyed NG2, I hope this game will be simply a huge improvement to the game. I hope this doesn't become an alien game.
I always felt this way about Ninja Gaiden honestly. Sure it's mostly just about the action, and the gameplay. But I always felt the martial arts code, and the revenge storyline in the back of my mind. That fight against Doku at the beginning of part 1 was pretty intense - facing off against him right after he murdered his whole village, and getting killed himself.
Ninja Gaiden won't be the same without Itagaki. Hopefully they won't dumb it down like they did with the PS3 ports.
