Nier Replicant has been revealed has been revealed as a PS3-exclusive version of Square Enix's upcoming action RPG, while Nier Gestalt will be an alternative Xbox 360 version. We don't yet know if the two games will have some form of interaction, but what we do know is that Replicant has at least got a hermaphrodite in it.
First of all, let's talk about the differences between Replicant and Gestalt. Both star a rugged action hero called Nier who is questing to save a woman called Yonah from the Black Scrawl virus, but Replicant's version of Nier is younger while Gestalt's is more weathered and old. In addition, Yonah is Nier's sister in Replicant, but in Gestalt she's his daughter. Weird, weird shenanigans going on.
More importantly, however, is the fact that Nier also features a character known as Kaine, a hermaphrodite with identity issues and a demon that has taken over half his/her body. There is also a magical talking book called Grimoire Weiss.
All in all, the Nier games are looking like they're going to be quite interesting indeed ... if not downright confusing.

Talk about a complex. That guy/girl must really need a hug.
Right?
RIGHT!
Screen shot looks nice though.
Huh.
—All You Zombies— by Robert Heinlein: The Unmarried Mother was an intersex, though apparently female, teenager who was seduced by a mysterious older man. Many years and a sex change later, she, now he, is sent back in time, where he meets and makes love to a very familiar girl.
Maybe it'll be the best thing AND the worst thing ever! You know because the one character is a man AND a woman, I mean, y'know, like both at the same time...
Oh forget it.
But... is Gestalt Square Enix new favorite word? There isn't something like a Gestalt mode in FF XII?
That is all.
There is also a magical talking book called Grimoire Weiss.

GTFO, DoC.
Well, sometimes these games are cool, undertones of weird things can be cool, like rule of rose, if its a good game, and intriguing ( ..well it has a hermaphrodite, already pretty complex) maybe itll be great? And i dont get why everyoen is saying "it" looks like a man, from the scans, looks liek a chic to me..albeit with a little 'extra'
