Great news! Just started replaying the original and the expansion and I know this won't go over well but damn, its a far better game than Starcraft II. Good to see that its still getting some love lol.
@serverius I agree totally. I played DoW2 after grabbing it in a Steam THQ pack and I loved the different approach to RTS. When I played SC2 it left me dissapointed, sticking the same old safe RTS formula instead of bringing something new to the game.
Dawn of War 2 was a really fun game. I've been thinking about getting at the Chaos campaign for it... The last few levels of the DOW2 campaign were some of the best Space Marine-related levels i've ever played.

I'd highly recommend the Chaos Rising expansion, it adds a ton of new features to the game and ramps up the difficulty quite a bit.

I loved the original DoWII, but Chaos Rising was a catastrophe. DoWII is very tactical, but Chaos Rising is just a slugfest.
I still need to buy the first expansion. The multiplayer may not have exactly been for me, but the single player experience was pretty fun overall.
The I in Retribution is the inquisitorial =][=, so I hope this means some Imperial Guard or something. Otherwise, EFF YEAR.
I need to get around Games for windows Live losing my save files so i can enjoy the game without restarting the campaign every time.

FUCK YES! Love Dawn of War and will definitely get this. I'm thinking the new race will be Imperial Guard. All things point to them. They make multiple appearances in DoW II through the Chaos Rising Campaign and Last Stand.
