If you're really hardcore about Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and are always on the go, you might like the NEXiLUX (Meximelt?) Mini Guitar. This is a retractable, packable stick guitar that works on the PS2, PS3, and Wii for both of the above listed guitar games.

The Mini Guitar should be available in the next two weeks. No price or exact release date was given, though we do know that it is offered in both black and white. The video shows how the whoel thing is put together. You can cram a Wii Remote in the back of the unit, and the wireless adapter/dongle is also shown off.

This looks to be quite a bit more handy than toting a full-sized Rock Band or Guitar Hero guitar on-the-go. Of course, those serious about the game would have to see how well the controls function. Is this something you'd consider using?

Ew.

Thanks for reminding me that I have to trade-in that damn Mad Catz portable drum kit. Seriously it's best to just buy the case from EA . It hauls all your shit.

Eh, what the hell. I'm in if the price is right.

Also, when did headline images become video links, too? How long have I been asleep?!

I can't imagine that would be even remotely comfortable to play on.

I'm pretty sure you need a little bit of width in the body of the guitar in order to keep the strumming from jostling it around all over the place.

How much more portable does this really make things? You still have to carry around a damn game console and have a TV to plug into.

I'm with atastysammich - i'd buy it for the right price. For what they've shown here, the right price is in the 'below $20' range.

This- this is fucking awesome. Not because it's portable, no I don't care about that. But it's cheap, and it's multiplatform. HELL. YES.

I read the article title as "Netflix Guitar..." several times.

I hate this new style of posting embedded vids on a seperate link...totally fucking annoying and pointless.

Like Atastysammich said, I'd get it for the right price. Although, I woldn't mind if it was like 40$, since its multi-platform.
