Some new screenshots from the upcoming portable version of the Yakuza series have cropped up. Holy crap, are they gorgeous. There are standoffs, brawls and sketchy art stills in there. And there's a hostess too, which made me smile.

Because I have yet to be disappointed by a Yakuza game, I naturally want this to see release globally. I keep getting the impression that the series doesn't perform well outside of Japan and then wind up surprised by news that another iteration is coming to the United States. I can't get my hopes up yet it's almost becoming an expectation that the games will be localized. It's maddening!

Anyway, enjoy more screenshots in the gallery below.
