The better-late-than-never Xbox 360 version of Unreal Tournament III is almost here, currently set for an early July release. In anticipation of the impending launch, Midway has blasted over a few new screenshots from the game, and it's looking decidedly like Unreal Tournament III -- hectic and gorgeous.

Additionally, UK retailer Game (via CVG) has put up box art for the game, which proudly displays a sticker that says ""Exclusive Gears of War 2 video content on disc." If the killer multiplayer and Xbox 360 exclusive content (maps, characters) didn't do it for you, this video surely will. Because, you know, it's not going to end up on YouTube two weeks before the game ships.

I went hands-on with Unreal Tournament III at Midway's recent media event in Las Vegas, and not only did the game play well, but the little wiener hot dogs they were serving were to die for. Anyone planning on cooking up their own little cocktail weenies and firing up the ol' UT III on the Xbox 360 this summer?

Hell yes! Easily my most anticipated game this year. I could care less for Gears video though, that series if terrible in my opinion.

Im sure the game will rock, but i find it funny that they would market the game in this way. In these times of information and YouTube- the video would be up within a day of the games release.

I'll probably pic it up. I've been with the UT series since the first.

"...Xbox 360 exclusive content (maps, characters)..."

You mean the stuff that the PS3 modders will just create on their own after they find out what the 360 "exclusive" content is? lol

No mods for this version, which is a definite fail. Still, the game stands well on its own, it's just kind of "gimped."

Well, if you wanted mods you could have always just bought the PS3 version thats been out for, ohhhh, six months now.

As much as I love UT AND console shooters, these two just don't mix. You definitely need a mouse to play this game, sure the PS3 can do that but the game is still slowed down and who has space for a KB and mouse in their living room?

I hope UT3 is to the next title what 2003 was to 2004. Next year we'll get game made on the same engine, but complete and designed to defend itself with value alone.
This UT3 seems like face add to new engine - whenever there was time to work on it, Epic guys did, but it was hardly a priority.

Just consider this terrible SP campaing! This couldn't pass any veryficiation. They just had to add one, so they did. Scarce models (comparing to UT2k5, these that were made are great BTW), scarce maps (few good, all nice looking), everything is "minimum to be shipped", and nothig except for the GFX is "it's done when it's done".

I already have the PS3 version with the modding, so I won't be picking up the 360 version. If it had mods I'd trade my PS3 copy in for this one, but since it doesn't, fuck you, Microsoft.

Stupid bonus. Bet GT will have it even before the release.

I like the 360 controller, but i think I'll have to pick this up on the PS3, even with my horrible internet connection strength where it is. That's the price for wanting HDMI.

I've got it on PS3 and its a pretty great game! can't wait to give it a go with a rumble-controller ( which should have arrived at my home by now :-) )

EliteChief27: You do know the 360 has HDMI, right?

It does suck that MS is not allowing mods. This just became a rent for me.

No mods? LAME. It's a shame cause it's still a great game but with over 20 skins, over 50 free maps and additional content the PS3 has, the 360 version is seriously lacking.

Don't buy this, save the money and get RAM or a Graphics Card for your PC instead... I've had this game on PC for months and months.

This game is a glorious clusterfuck of PS3, 360, and PC fanboys. It's like the United Nations of fanboy games.

Eh, if I wanted UT3 I would have bought it off of Steam to play on my laptop. But I heard it's not as good as UT2k4 anyways so I'll probably skip this iteration. Plus, playing such a fast paced game with a controller & without custom maps just isn't suitable for UT. They should just stick with Gears on 360, or maybe another Unreal Championship game.

I think I'd rather just wait 'til I get a PS3 and enjoy the game with mods, even if that takes a few more months anyway. Playing UT without user-created content is like playing Halo and not being a racist ignorant frat twat.

Haha, zing.

Holy shit, a Gears video? Oh man, I'm sold, and I don't even have a 360.

Jesus. They should cancel this and spend that effort on making UT3 good.
