Some people get off on
this kind of thing, and if you're one of those oddballs, then please enjoy the above video which shows off the new Xbox 360 dashboard, as featured in the upcoming Fall Update.
The video shows off the new game installation feature, and displays that you'll need a hard copy of the disc in order to run anything. There was already talk of this, and the new footage seems to confirm it.
Everything looks all flashy and swish, but is anyone convinced that this is the right step forward for Microsoft? Personally, I think the new dashboard appears rather decent, but I'm mostly pleased that The 'Soft still apparently gives a stuff about the Xbox 360 and isn't looking to cut-and-run, as I'd originally considered. I hope forced installs don't become prolific, however. I really don't fancy shelling out extra bucks for more storage. Wait, hoping MS won't find a way to force more cash out of us? What am I saying?
[Thanks, Detry]
Was wondering if someone around here was gonna pick up on this. Still not happy with the new dashboard, but at least it appears as though they are not completely dicking around.
