New X-Men: Destiny screens and trailer are full of powers
The simplest way for a comic franchise to regain their foothold is generally to just reboot the story, hence the countless iterations of every hero. For X-Men: Destiny however, they're taking a slightly different path by not only creating a group of all new mutants, but also allowing players to customize those new heroes with some of their favorite classic powers. It's got some real potential as an X-Men pseudo-RPG. The above trailer gives a quick glance at some of the game's available powers and I must say, I don't hate it. I was skeptical at first but the recent movie has restored my faith in the X-Men property's ability to impress. Did you know? Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)Looks bad. Not the game but the video quality. C'mon I know you guys gotta pay the bills but does that mean using such a piece of shit player? It's horrible. I typically always go to gametrailers when I see something I want to see. But wow, this looks very 2002. The powers all looked the same...as in...rock punch / shadow punch / energy punch....can we please get Eternal Darkness II? There better be a solid dozen or more powers to choose from. These three look scarily similar. Doesn't look intriguing at all. The art style is just...terrible. This combined with the fact they;ve wasted a premise with so much promise, the opportunity of building your own mutant from the ground up and choosing their powers, and then gimping it by limiting you to 3 2nd stringer douchey looking X-Men. Either give me the chance to build my own badass mutant, or let me play as an actual X-Man. 3:00 AM on 05.24.2013 Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate gets another Virtua FighterDead or Alive 5 Ultimate expands its fighting roster with the addition of Virtua Fighter's Jacky Bryant.
