The simplest way for a comic franchise to regain their foothold is generally to just reboot the story, hence the countless iterations of every hero. For X-Men: Destiny however, they're taking a slightly different path by not only creating a group of all new mutants, but also allowing players to customize those new heroes with some of their favorite classic powers. It's got some real potential as an X-Men pseudo-RPG.
The above trailer gives a quick glance at some of the game's available powers and I must say, I don't hate it. I was skeptical at first but the recent movie has restored my faith in the X-Men property's ability to impress.
