New World at War multiplayer trailer details maps, modes, weapons, and perks photo

The Call of Duty: World at War multiplayer beta is currently taking place, and on Wednesday, Grim gave you an inside look at it.

Yesterday, Activision sent over a gory new trailer for the game that gives us a great deal of insight into how its multiplayer portion will play out. You can find the video after the jump, kiddies, along with a list of all the maps, modes, weapons, and perks that were mentioned (and the descriptions of each, as seen in the trailer).

You see, this trailer isn’t just a simple compilation of multiplayer gameplay. It also goes through five maps and five modes, shows off ten perks, and illustrates the use of eight World War II-era weapons. And you can hear Jack Bauer -- uh, I mean, Kiefer Sutherland -- barking commands and warnings like, “Dogs! Comin’ right at us!” By the way, this is the second multiplayer trailer that has been released (here’s the first one).

All in all, the two-minute video has got me just as stoked about Call of Duty: World at War as nearly any other high-profile release in the remaining days of 2008. Head to the game’s official Web site for more information, and shine up those M1 Garand rifles -- Call of Duty: World at War will be out for the PS3, 360, Wii (check out Dale’s preview), PC, PS2, and DS on November 11th.

I've been having a lot of fun with the beta so far, despite it being in dreaded WWII. They've managed to add in plenty of things to toy around with and keep things interesting.

Is it just me or does the animation seem really awkward at times? I've played plenty of CoD4 but maybe I just didn't notice it then?

I think the 'anti' perks are too much. I can ues a perk slot to make it so the enemies perk slot wont work! Yay! I may be wrong but didnt 4 only have stopping power/juggernaught? Also, bomb squad, but its more broad than 'their flamethrower wont hurt as bad'. Also the vehicles seem like...eh...but Ill prolly buy. : P

Thanks for adding the Wiki link. I had no idea Tabun gas had a "fruity" odor. Bizarre.

Ya the antiperks prevent me from buying it. Also the lack of visual representation of perks, such as gas mask. COD4 showed your perk why not 5?
