While Sony busied themselves making disturbing Kubrickian commercials for the PS3, Nintendo chose the light hearted route with this recent Wii commercial. Say what you will about the big N, but I have to commend them for their sense of humor and ability to laugh at themselves.
If anything has bugged me about the way the console wars have unfolded, it's been the way Sony has portrayed thenselves as the elitist option. I like the fact that the Wii seems easy, accessible and open to use by everyone regardless of age or gender.
What do you guys think? Is Sony the snob option? Is Nintendo relying too much on accessibility and not enough on technology? Do I really look like Hilary Duff after a night out at Bar Sinister?
(Note: I cannot confirm it is an official commercial, but since the website of the site that designed it shows Nintendo as one of their clients, it appears as though it is. Apologies in advance if I am not correct.)
Although I highly doubt it's an official ad, I would certainly hope that Nintendo acknowledges the humor here. And if it -is- an official ad, then Nintendo just moved up in my list.

I'd like to think this is official, but the Nintendo commercials are much cleaner looking. The shadows are too pronounced and gives it a darker feel than the other commercials I've seen from Nintendo.
