"I think the other important thing is that the DLC is being accompanied by another big patch that's going to hopefully fix a bunch of problems."
Is that before or after the patch gets patched?
Don't get me wrong, I love new vegas but everytime there's an attempted fix they just add more problems to the game.
I think it's launch day of the DLC (or the night before).
But yes, the Honest Hearts patch broke some games. I love NV as well, but Obsidian is comical when it comes to QA.
@Allen
The game came out like NINE months ago - how much longer do you want them to wait before it's "ok" to give you DLC?
While I LOVED Fallout 3, I just couldn't stand New Vegas. I don't know, maybe the quests were a litlle boring, or maybe this whole karma thing made the game be difficult to maintain the good karma (come on, you have to be a suicidal saint to play with good karma).
And let's not forget the glitches. Man, in this game, one out of four time that I played it I had a major glitche that stopped the game and I couldn't keep playing it. At some point, I started to really dislike it.
I traded it with a friend for Dragon Age Origins, an old game that I never got the chance to play and I'm completely in love with it. Too bad I heard that Dragon Age 2 is a litlle meh.
Developers can do a lot in 9 months and probably started developing these DLC as soon as NV went gold.
No problem. I will also admit that my opinion on the rushing was mistaken because I thought Dead Money was released on the 360 sometime around mid-Feb of 2011. I forgot it was actually released back in Dec of 2010.
@Leon
Yeah I thought about that.
Regardless, I may wait and buy some kind of GOTY edition after also reading that they have 8 DLC titles planned.
