New U.S. Military billing options for Xbox Live members
Microsoft has heard the requests of gamers in our military and now has made changes in their system to accept their addresses in Military States in their billing system. This will come as great news to our men and women stationed worldwide. Up until now these people have not been able to complete the entry of required information for XBLA, which means that they wouldn't be able to buy Microsoft Points, renew memberships, buy games and the like. Microsoft says that Xbox Live now accepts AA (Armed Forces of the Americas), AE (Armed Forces Europe) and AP (Armed Forces Pacific) as options for credit card addresses. Military gamers can make the appropriate changes as of now. [salutes] Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)'Bout damn time if you ask me. Our soldiers should be able to sit back and relax with a nice game of CoD after working hard all day fighting terrorists.
Err, wait... That's great. Got some friends and family in the military and they all enjoy gaming during their off time so this will help a lot. Agree with everyone on the about time. One of my best friends went in to the military last year but because of XBL we can still play games together which is an awesome thing to say the least. Coolness. Will get some of this when I join the service later this year. From the servicemembers I've spoken to, they pretty much use their home address in the US and just buy up some subscription cards over the internet. This is awesome, finally! I used to be stationed in japan (I met Jonathan Holmes at the 2010 TGS!) and it suuuuucked not being able to use our cards to buy points and not being able to buy certain things.
A very welcome change! When I read the title I thought they were making it cheaper for military. Then I found it they are just fixing something they probably should have fixed awhile ago. 6:30 PM on 05.20.2013 Microsoft trademarks game feature 'Forzavista'A Microsoft trademark for "Forzavista" was recently spotted by Siliconera.
