A brand new trailer has been revealed for Funcom's interestingly contemporary MMO, The Secret World. This new video uses the in-game engine for the first time and tells the story of Kingsmouth, a quiet little town that has been overrun by zombies. How rude!

Zombies are just one part of this interesting MMO. Global conspiracies, bizarre monsters, and all manner of shady goings-on are what will hopefully set this game apart from all the other would-be massive multiplayers out there. We'll have to wait and see what the final product is like, but I have high hopes for TSW from a conceptual standpoint.

Funcom needs to hurry up and get a beta going because I really want to see how this turns out.

god they've been making this game for 5 or 6 years already. i was interested in it 2 years ago and now it's too late. their countdown ends in 2013 so it's either xbox 720 launch title(well should be) with really crappy graphics or late 360 game nobody will care.

but maybe that's just me.

I'm gonna buy this and get sick of it in a month, like practically every other MMO I've tried. I never have been able to get behind a game that you have to play for months or years to get anywhere in.

But it's probably the coolest concept for an MMO that I've ever seen, so I'll give it a shot anyway.

I'm scouting for a new MMO and this have been on my radar for a while. Too bad there's little to nothing known about it.

Too bad it's an MMO. Stuff like this needs a non subscription single player option. That would sell copies to people who don't want to touch MMOs.

Is this coming to 360?

I think if APB and this come to consoles for a reasonable price, I would definitly be interested.

hmmm...looks interesting but i found a few info about the game and it says its gonna incorporate "supernatural powers" to the players...and its gonna be "skilled based" NOT "level based" which is great we can harness different skill sets...

BUT the supernatural powers kinda turned me off, i was hoping kinda like a REAL ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE kinda thing, like there would be this massive world and you get to travel and find a desserted city and maybe find surviors ther (real players) so its up to them to take you in or not, you know like a REAL psychological dark atmosphere, where we only have guns and not magic

i would buy that kinda game in a heartbeat!!

@bluemeep:

Oh yeah? Did any of you catch that zombie giving head to the dead guy in the part where there's two zombies (on kneeling) in front of a car?

Looks pretty depressing, i'd like to see some gameplay and how you interact w/ other players online.

I am addicted to anything Lovecraft of Delta Green [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delta_Green] related. I would buy this without a second thought if Funcom wasn't attached to it.

I still won't forgive myself for the travesty of purchasing Conan MMO, another MMO that Funcom was involved with.
