New trailer for indie adventure Ether One

9:30 PM on 02.13.2013

Back in November 2012, we got a short look at some early footage from the indie adventure title Ether One. We've now got our hands on a more full-length trailer that shows there's a lot more going on in the game than was evident before. Whilst slow-paced exploration is good, some action thrown in doesn't seem like a bad choice.

This trailer is dubbed "The Restorer" and it shows off some beautiful environments and the fact that your character is most definitely not in the real world. Ether One looks like it's right up my alley; atmospheric, mysterious, and hopefully it'll tell a real good story.

Ether One is still on Steam Greenlight, so if it's something you'd like to see get a release on Steam, get voting!

Ether One will finally materialize on March 25

A few days ago I was bemoaning the long wait between games coming through Steam's Greenlight service and actually being released. One title I've been waiting for is Ether One, the atmospheric, first-person puzzle game from W...more

La-Mulana 2 aims to be more 'intuitive,' still hard as heck

La-Mulana was regarded by some as the hardest game ever. This isn't going to change, though Nigoro's Takami Naramura wants it to be slightly more intuitive so perhaps all those deaths don't lead to warranted frustration and ...more

Open world platformer/space shooter A.N.N.E is a retro buffet

Really, why even play clearly deficient retro games? I mean, where are the shmup segments in Metroid? Where are the open world segments in Contra? Where are the line segments in a bisected triangle? A.N.N.E. is one part platformer, one part shmup, one part RPG. And this year at PAX A.N.N.E. has all its systems in play. Maybe we'll all get to play it this year.more

Boy, The Hong Kong Massacre sure looks like Hotline Miami

Hotline Miami by way of Stranglehold or any other John Woo flick, at least. Which is appropriate for the setting. Though I'm also reminded of Michael Mann's Miami Vice movie for some reason. I guess it can't exactly be Hotli...more
