New trailer for DS shooter Moon

11:02 AM on 09.29.2008   |   Dale North

Scary mini-shooter Moon is headed to the DS in full 3D glory. Mastiff and Renegade Kid's sci-fi space horror sounds great on paper, but we have yet to see very much of the title in action.

A new trailer has been released, and adds much more to the old teaser trailer Nick showed us awhile back. Moon has gamers landing on the lunar surface in the year 2058, where a hatch door is found on the surface. Inside they find alien baddies in corridors perfectly fit for an FPS game.

What do you think of this so far? Doesn't it kind of remind you of Metroid Prime: Hunters?  Will you be checking this out on the November 18 release?

I like how around 0:55 it looks like he's in a carnival. Just waiting for the guy with the moustache to pop up.

Other than that, looks like it might actually be worth a go. Handhelds have a lot of trouble doing the whole atmospheric-horror thing, but we'll see.

hunters showed me the DS could work for a shooter, but hunters tried to hard to be metroid.

Christ, even the music reminds me of MP: Hunters, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I like how they're trying the elements introduced by that game again, but are creating a whole new IP instead of just recycling an older one. I just hope it controls well. >.>

their horrorshooter ( Demetium:The Ward ) is absolutely awesome, so I'll be getting this :-)

PhazonYoshi - exactly, which is why I think this will be good.

yeah, it looks a lot like halo 1 - which for once isn't an insult.

I'll be keeping this on my watchlist :D

Yeah, initial screens looked like Hunters but this game has a flavor of its own.

For the spooky vibe they're going with, the enemies don't look very frightening >.>

The game reminds me of a more action-packed 'Marathon.' Keepin' an eye on it.

I thought we would see loads of shooters after hunters did a good job with the controls. It's a shame we didn't. After using a mouse for so long I find the stylus easier to go back to than the dual sticks. I'll pick this up, and Demetium if I ever find it.
