Tetris Online. Oh, Tetris Friends. I don't even really like Tetris. I suck at it. But seeing others play, namely Nick Chester and Colette Bennett, and I had to start playing for myself. I hit a wall due to said suckage, but I'm still at it. Somehow Tetris Friends has me addicted to Tetris again.
Now, new Tetris games are coming to the Wii and DS, and this comes from a partnership between Majesco and Tetris Online Inc. A game for the Wii and DS are both coming in the Spring of 2010 to North America. What kind of game? We don't know. I could only hope that an online Tetris like Tetris Friends would come out of this partnership. I have no idea how they'd work out the logistics of that, though.
We don't really need another plain Tetris for either platform, do we? Tetris DS does the trick for me. For this new one to entice me, it would have to have an online spin. We've already got Tetris Splash and Tetris Party. What would it take for you to want another Tetris?

Good news: More Tetris on the Wii and DS
Bad news: Majesco is making them.

I think its time we stop riding the tetris cock, and go with something a bit more obscure. Put together a puzzlegame collection, that includes stuff like tetris 2, Hatris, Crazy Snakes, etc. I'd buy that in a heartbeat. But I won't be buying another Tetris when the one we have now is perfect.
Got 100+ hours invested into Tetris DS and it being one of the few games I'm somewhat decent at, I'm stoked.
they have vids of top level play, live streams of various tetris games including top american players vs. top japanese players in tetris online japan, forums and a tetris wiki that has a lot of information including many diagrams and insight on proper stacking, and t-spin set ups. really great site.
I really wish they would bring that back so I could play it again without having to dig out EPSXE.
