New Tales of the Abyss 3DS gameplay video and screens
Tales of the Abyss is probably going to be the first RPG that I'll be all up in on my Nintendo 3DS. There's other good offerings for other genres on the horizon, but I know there isn't anything close to this game when it comes to something I can really dig into and get lost in. As you'll see from these new gameplay videos (2!) and screenshots from gamescom, Abyss is looking really great on the 3DS. The screenshots are really small, but it's still clear to see that this game has never looked better. Watching the battle in the above video has me more excited about my 3DS than I've ever been before. Be sure to check out the other gameplay video, found after the jump.

Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)I've already played this on my PS2 way back then. I don't see a reason why I should get a 3DS just for this (or any other game, for that matter) The game is a fantastic game
But I am looking forward to the other original rpgs REXX, kingdom hearts, imagepoch/level 5/ atlus stuff, ect You can barely make anything out in the video because the brainiac who put it together decided that it would look best at 10% of its normal size.
But still. TotA without horrendous load times! I played the original, but it was a friend's copy; now I'll be able to own it AND have it portable. I'm excited. Between this and Devil Survivor: Overclocked, I have my RPG fix for a while. never got to play this one but absolutely loved symphonia. When i get my 3ds this will absolutely be a first buy. Also: "Tales of the Abyss is probably going to be the first RPG that I'll be all up in on my Nintendo 3DS"
Are you not going to be reviewing Devil Survivor:Overclocked then? Who is if your not? I want to get it, but after having decimated the PS2 version, I don't know if I got another 80 hours in me, especially staring at the screen at that proximity for that long cumulative. Never did get around to Tales of the Abyss so this will be a good chance to finally do so. I might even finally pick up a 3DS depending on when this gets released, seeing as I seem to do most of my RPG-gaming these days on handhelds. Definitely interested in this. But I can't wait for Overclocked on tuesday! And maybe Deus Ex if they knock it out of the park like people are hyping it up to be. So this is a port of a PS2 game? Better than it being just N64 games. I hear this game is good but came out the same week as FF12 on PS2. 1:30 PM on 05.08.2013 Microsoft returns to gamescom this yearI'm still kind of mad about Microsoft not showing up to gamescom or Tokyo Game Show last year.
