stealth did you know the mario bros anrt really "bros" at all. they are a gay couple that uses the term "bros" because gay marriage isnt legal in the mushroom kingdom. as if the mustache and the going in and out of pipes and effeminate speaking voices wernt obvious enough.

I dunno, guys. Sure, the art style isn't that exciting but it still seems like an improvement over the previous New Super Mario games. And the level design seems better too. I'm gonna be optimistic about this one.
my feeling is people are raging more because its not launching with a 3d one.
If a 3d one came at launch, and a 2d one came later the raging would not be this bad.

Mario games are really just an illusion though - One day when Nintendo reveals New, New, NEW Super Mario Bros. they will actually reveal that Mario and Luigi are drug abusers and EVERY adventure to this point has been a delusional dream....only to reveal that Mario and Luigi are worn down Italian plumbers living in New York City (the game will play similarly to GTA and receive a review by Jim Sterling of -13 out of 100).
Played this at Eurogamer Expo and it was a predictable NSMB game but it came to life when the fifth player, the Nintendo Representative said we were "fucking shit" and wanted to know "Where are the pro's at"

I hope Destructoid reviews the game in terms of its fun as a single player game as well as its multiplayer.
The game looks purty. A lot of the levels bring back old school vibes, and while definitely a safe move, a good move in my book nonetheless.
I'm really asking, if this is safe for videogames what is considered dangerous? Kinect games? Hitman: Absolution??

I agree with everything you said except for the online play part. I've always found co-op sidescrollers to be horrible without being in the same room as the other players.

And yet they still have players running on a literal 2D plane.
I seriously hate the co-op in these games, because I cannot play it with anyone and have fun. You end up running into each other in mid air or throwing each other off platforms without meaning to.
Have 2 players on screen and allow them to move through each other. I know that's not realistic or the best looking idea, but it's Mario, who gives a shit.
