New studio Loose Cannon's E3 debut for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii photo

Loose Cannon (great name) is a new studio that features talent from Sucker Punch and Disney. They've got a new multiplatform game in the works, and they expect it to come out either late this summer or early fall.

It looks like we'll have to wait for a couple of weeks to see what the team has been working on, as they plan on unveiling the title at this year's E3. We do know it will be released for the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii. It's an original property that the Seattle-based developer has been working on since 2005. Gamespot says that the company also has a second original IP in the works, too.

The company's about page lists games from their collective experience: Sly Cooper, Spyro The Dragon, Crash Bandicoot, Halo, Jak and Daxter, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, Dungeon Siege, No One Lives Forever, and many more. Not a bad list.

I love that a new original IP is coming. We're looking forward to seeing it.

With a list of games like that, this would probably be a good game. I'm looking forward to finding out what it is.

Always good to see the new seeds of the industry sprouting, even in a recession.

I definitely like their name.

I agree on the awesomeness of their name and I agree with Cowboy in that seeing new companies is encouraging with the financial structure not holding up in consideration. New ideas and new jobs go a long way.

In case anyone is wondering, "Where was that picture of Luther Jackson, the uncle of the Jackson 5, taken?" ... the answer is, "the Reserve station at Papago Park, outside of Phoenix, Arizona."
