2004's Steel Battalion was the closest most of us have come to piloting a mech, right down to the most minuscule details. Capcom has decided to revitalize the series with Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor for Kinect; Hamza was able to get some eyes-on time with the game at Tokyo Game Show last month and was thoroughly impressed.
Based purely on the few trailers they've released so far (including this one) I'm inclined to agree with him. I am now one step closer to buying a Kinect. This is step one.
looks nice. hopefully this shows other kinect developers that the controller isn't forbidden to use with the kinect. At the very least they need to find a good way of walking/moving unless they want every kinect game to be on rails.
I loves SteelBattalion and I'm not sure about this game. Not because I don't like Kinect tho I would likely miss the giant SB controllers (They actually came with an allen wrench for assembly ^^).
More so because watching that doesn't feel all that SteelBattalionish, I can't quite put my finger on it but its just off somehow.
alllllllllllllllllllllmost talked into kinect. already have dance central. child of eden is a must play at some point... hope this turns out to be decent.
So I guess you are NOT the controller... Seriously though they need to make more games like this where Kinect works with a controller, like say a FPS with head tracking. I'd have a much better opinion of Kinect then.

Steel Battalion cleverly integrates both: ...wahhh Microsoft.
Kinect is a neat little addition, and thankfully, it doesn't magically erase non-Kinect games.

HEY GUYS.
360 EXCLUSIVE.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSS.
Kinect and the controller working together.
None of this bullshit IT HAS TO ALL BE DONE WITH THE KINECT
Hopefully some more devs realize this
I regret never picking it up myself. I wish we had a modern version of Steel Battalion. I wouldn't make the same mistake again.
I can't imagine playing a Steel Battalion game without the Steel Battalion controller. Maybe it will work wonderfully; however, I just don't see it.
