New Star Trek Online screens show city and ship photo

Cryptic recently revealed two new screenshots from Star Trek Online. The screens have much to work with in terms of analysis. The space shot gives a basic sense of scale. Either those space buildings are absolutely massive or Cryptic is going for an RTS feel. The hull picture shows a lot of metal. Also, fire.

I know it’s early, but I’m craving substantial information. I’m not asking for a clown car shot that reveals everything there is to know. I would rather have a focused shot that shows off a new gameplay element. I’ll make an exception for any Jean Luc Picard photos that Cryptic may want to throw our way. Picard was a beautiful man.

So I guess that's like a mining station on an asteroid?

enh, ok. I'm really interested in more details also. You've got off ship stuff, and on ship stuff, from what I've heard. You can make your own race. and, it seems, you can whizz past asteroids with office buildings.

Mostly, at this point, I'd like someone to release this much rumors and talked about "console mmos", instead of just talk and tease about them. Enough :)

@Tubatic - I have a friend in Minnesota who received a call last week from GameStop. They told him his Xbox 360 copy of "Age of Conan has been delayed."

Really!?

But yeah, I would love to get more information. These screens are labeled "Star Trek Online PC" which made me raise an eyebrow. Why differentiate it like that?

Holy crap, a console MMO would destroy my social life, they better not do that to me :p ( I had a DC to late to jump onto their console MMO luckily enough)

the whole reason I don't play MMO's is that I can't be bothered to sit in my deskchair for such aeons of time :p

I'm pretty sure Picard should be dead of old age by the time the game takes place; IIRC it's set a generation or two after the most recent movie.
