New Splatterhouse screens are deliciously gory photo

It's been too long since we posted about Splatterhouse. FAR too long. Namco Bandai must have sensed my longing, because they sent over a small handful of new screens today -- just enough to satisfy me but leave me wanting more. Still, it looks sufficiently blood-drenched, and it pleases me just to see that ( I guess a remake of Splatterhouse without gallons of blood would be pretty incomplete).

According to the press release, the game is slated for a Q3 2010 release for PS3 and 360, so we have a while to wait. In the meantime, go nose around the official site, replay the original game, and join me in hoping that this remake will be every bit as awesomeas I think it has the capacity to be.

Oooh, really looking forward to this. The original three Splatterhouse games were amazing, even if it took me ages to beat them.

I just can't share your enthusiasm about this game. All those delays and changing of hands...and it still locks cheap and nasty (for all the wrong reasons).

Normally, I adore games that celebrate violence; but this -- looks like shit.

I see they cleaned up his body so it didn't look like up a chewed up piece of meat.

I highly doubt this will be a GOTY contender next year, but I get the same vibes from it that I did from the current-gen Conan game, which I had a blast with. If it's at least as good, then I can see myself playing it.

I wish it was a 2D game. The third picture where he's looking at the camera, makes me think of Trine.

I hope they use the extra time for some extra polish.
Those grapcics can be better Namco Bandai.

I miss the old Sega Games. They were very gory back in the days.
I'm getting so hype, I'm gonna go find an emulator.

I still cannot wait for this game to come out. I really hope it will be worth the wait.

This seems to be the age of bringing back old-school goodness, and I'm definitely game. Definitely don't regret waiting to get the "next-gen" consoles.
