So it's looking like the levels featuring metal sonic and Shadow will be races, possibly in the spirit of Sonic: Rivals? I'm ok with that for sure. That, and they recreated one of the most beautiful levels that Sonic Colors had... No, I'm not crying, I just have something in my eye...
The Sonic vs Shadow fight was to be expected since it was important in Sonic Adventure 2, it was pretty much the theme of the game (hero vs dark).
I swear to god if I hear a reference to the Sonic Cycle one more time I'll end it all and you'll be sorry

Is Shadow really that bad of a character? Sure, his own game sucked, but I found him to be a decent person in SA2, with him sacrificing himself and what not.
Either way, looking forward to this! I only wish America could get the Collector's Edition.

So that shot with Shadow looks like a retread of the final battle between him and Sonic in SA2. I am more than willing to play that fight in modern graphics.

I know, right? In fact he is probally one of the few characters post Sonic 3 that I actualy like. He is basicly the Vegeta of Sonic games, and, last I checked, Vegeta was awesome.

@Mr 3man: Oh, sure. Vegeta was awesome. But I don't remember Shadow walking around with an ego bigger than the universe, wreaking havoc on Planet Namek for the Dragon Balls, or blowing Cell's torso apart with a Final Flash that should've easily annihilated him.
But yeah I liked him in SA2. Afterwards, not so much. He's not so much "goth" as he is trying too hard to be a grimdark horse. Also, he was brought back to life in Sonic Heroes.

Interesting that classic Sonic has the look of surprise on his face, whilst modern Sonic still has what looks to be a smirk. They're supposed to be doing the ol' "WTF mirror" clichē, right?
It probably is a trap, and I'm not expecting that much out of it except nice remixes of classic Sonic tunes (which are great for the most part), but that Collector's Edition had me clicking the Pre-Order button faster than any game ever did before.
It's ok to have shadow and metal sonic playable but don't add a different kind of gameplay like BIG or the robot.
