Shaun White and his crazy God damned hair are headed to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and Ubisoft has released a new trailer and screens for his game, Shaun White Snowboarding. I have to ask: do snowboarders actually do this crap in real life? I'm talking about the grinding on random logs and, when presented the opportunity, on the roofing of cabins.

I've been snowboarding only once, and I fell. A lot. While I had fun at the time, I woke up the next morning with a sore ass and extremely tired legs, which I'd imagine is what being in prison must feel like. So snowboarding experience is limited, but if videogames were any indication, every snowboarder is grinding on trees and jumping off of houses. Someone please confirm or deny.

The game itself looks pretty nice, with open world mountains in places like Alaska, Europe, and Japan. Shaun White Snowboarding also supports online play, which could be a lot of fun with friends, especially all of that log/roof grinding.

I'm not sure what the hold up is with Electronic Art's next-gen SSX title, but this looks like it'll do. Anyone going to "hit the slopes" (and other likely-inappropriate snowboarding lingo) with me this holiday when Shaun White Snowboarding ships? Or are you looking at the Wii version for the Balance Board support?

I thought this game was Wii exclusive for some reason, must be because Nintendo chose to bring him to their press conference. Anyway it's a good thing that it's multi-platform, however this is no SSX!

That trailer really did impress me, and I hope to God it's a true free ride experience. I want to be able to walk back up the mountain and go down the other side.

Looks good. And yes, I can confirm some.. of the moves seen, such as grinding logs and seeing sexy snow bunnies.

I snowboard and I dont know about grinding "Random Logs" that sounds a bit iffy haha.

Setting up courses or going to an already made one does happen though.

Game actually looks good.

the last 2 times i went snowboarding i broke my left arm... the second time it shattered in the elbow and severed my radial nerve, i couldn't move my fingers for 10 months and needed multiple surgeries and physical therapy sessions. There's still pins in my elbow... the 3 external pins have been removed however... they were pulled out a long time ago. So yeah, that's my story.

No snowboarding game will ever be as good as SSX 3. Ever.

Looks nice and everything, but I really can't say I all that excited for it. Seems like it might be boring. Plus, skate, even though they're somewhat different games, has pretty much spoiled every other "extreme" sports title after.
