New sexy, juicy, crimson red DS w/ Brain Age 2 photo

Wow, this thing is a looker. And honestly, I've been looking for an alternative. I've caught a lot of sh*t carrying around my Japanese launch-day Ice Blue DS Lite. I remember an old lady saying, "Honey, isn't that a bit girly for a guy?"

Nintendo sends us news of a new, delicious looking, two-toned DS Lite, coming bundled with Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day for $149.99. It is scheduled to hit shelves on August 21st.

As far as the new DS goes, the top half  is a glossy Crimson red, while the bottom half is matte black (Nintendo is calling it Onyx). Think back: there was another game system with a similar color scheme.

Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day is the sequel to the original, which moved 8.61 million copies worldwide. This sequel has been out in Japan for awhile, and it has already sold over 5 million units.

It's probably safe to say that Nintendo will move a lot of these bundles this holiday.

How do those colors correspond to brain Training?

Seems weird.

Exactly why does Brain Age need a sequel? Not like it's a game or anything.

Yeah, but that's like calling Burning Crusade a sequel to World of Warcraft.

Oh, almost forgot, the black DS Lite owns that red turn. Anybody remember the red AIDS RAZRs?

I thought the Virtual Boy was dope.
I lost my license because I lost my vision due to playing it so much. Now I don't drive.

I type in braille now.
And I can smell your fear.

@Chieftan

Yes, and other than the fact that it was a RAZR phone I wanted one. I'd take a fully RED DS too.

Some people like red.

@dvddesign

Hey, some people like AIDS (House episode). Enjoy it.

It's just that, well, does this really need a sequel? I have Brain Age, and although it's sold more copies than Halo (Fine by me), it's not a game, and it shouldn't represent the DS.

Wanna know which game represents the DS? I'll give you a hint: My Username and Avatar.

Meh. Anyone remember the cat puke orange and baby diarrhea green SP? No? Well, I wish I could show you a picture, but a good solid twenty minutes of googling for the sucker and I've come up with bupkis. It was so ugly that it's been erased from the collective memory of the internet.

Dale North: can't you try painting your old DS first? If you're going to get a new one, might as well try. If it works, you save $150. If you fail, you were going to spend the $150 anyway.

Get it in black, disassemble your DS, spray the shell, reassemble your DS and viola, you saved $150!

It'd be nice if they made a clear or camo ds. Why don't they make clear cases anymore?

This sort of thing used to annoy me until I found out a couple of weeks after they come out someone makes a casemod for them. Plus they're really easy to fit.

@Solesurviv0r - Would you like it in blue or classic Gameboy pocket clear?

Augh, why does this have to come in such a stupid bundle? It would have been an awesome Castlevania or Lunar Knights bundle.

Reminds me a bit of a little pocket book with those colors actually, so it's kinda appropriate to have BA2. I wouldn't normally have bought the game itself but since I've been waiting for a cherry red colored DS (preferrably external only with black interiors) then I guess I'll finally settle on this for my DS.

Argghhh! The DS becomes harder and harder for me to resist!!! If the made a solid red one it would be an instant buy for me!
