New screens for Summon Night: Twin Age photo

So not every Atlus game is perfect. Luckily, I don't make final judgements easily (and am not apt to forget the awesome that was Persona 3 anytime soon), so my faith in their upcoming releases is unhindered. New screenshots and box art have come to light for their upcoming DS title, Summon Night: Twin Age, which comes out on May 20th. It still looks it'll be a really lighthearted, fun RPG. From the screenshots, you can tell crafting is going to come into play, and it seems as if the touch screen will be used for most combat. I'm a big fan of that when well-implemented on the DS, so my hopes are high here.

In case you need a refresher course on the story, you can check out the game's official website or sign up to be a member of the Atlus Faithful, which I'm not ready to withdraw my membership from anytime soon. You can also go poke around the series site, which is in Japanese but worth if if you either already love the Summon Night universe or are interested in learning more about what you've missed.

[Thanks Jonathan!]

The Japanese site has a playable demo and it works pretty well. I loved the 2 Sword Craft games, so I'm in for this one.

It's certainly got the anime-vibe going. Could be promising.

I devoured the previous two installments Atlus brought over for the GBA. I can't wait for another serving of Summon Night goodness!

Sad news with Baroque, not too interested in this one or Rondo of Swords, though. I keep to my educational/puzzle games on my DS.

WTF?! Atlus is supposed to be a "small" company right? They seem to be pumping games out faster than EA! Are their employees all hopped up on Crank and Caffeine!?!?

I'm shocked that one game you didn't enjoy can so shake your faith in a company's production that you'd have to make light of it. Atlus has brought over a LOT of bad games in it's day.

I'm excited for this. Summon Night 2 was really good, and from what I've seen this game seems to be an improvement across the board. Plus I <3 2D isometric combat like this.

@Gen Eric Gui- It didn't shake my faith. That's the whole point.

I couldn't get into the Swordcraft Story games but I think that's because I was playing them on emulation. er NOT playing them on....shit....

But I look forward to it now that I finally finished Eterian Odyssey I need another time consuming RPG on my DS.

Things I learned:

1) Summon Night looks cool. I expect that it will be similar in quality to the GBA installments.

2) Don't mess with Colette.

Oh, the GBA ones were good? I heard they were kind of generic, but maybe I'll try to find a copy.
