New screens for Batman: Arkham Asylum are dark photo

I'm no comic book fan, but I'm looking forward to Batman: Arkham Asylum. I like it when a comic book game comes out that doesn't feel the need to attach itself to a movie release, and this particular game looks like it was made with a lot of love.

These new screens indicate that all goes well, with Batman looking good as he beats the Hell out of the mentally unstable. Check them out and let us know what you think.

Wow, I hope this sucker plays well - it looks gorgeous!

I'm getting a bit sick of the fancy-pants camera angles though, I'd quite like to see a screenshot of some in-game footage to get an idea of how it'll play.

I was sold on this game as soon as they announced Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamil. But aside from that, this game looks to be pretty awesome and I'm hoping it actually IS awesome.

If this sucks god damn it, I'm just done. I'm trying not to get too excited about this..but everything about it speaks directly to my Batman love. I'm a huge fan of The DC Animated Universe, the voices, and Paul Dini.

But we have been burnt by 95% of the superhero games ever made.. Please, please guys make this the game we all want it to be!

Yeah this game actually looks good, which is a nice change because Ive given up on comic book based games. Its nice to see that this game doesn't seem rushed and hopefully it plays really well. I also love the way this game looks because it looks like the new movies. That dark film noir look is amazing and that is how Batman should be.

I'm excited to see how the Joker turns out, especially with Mark Hamill at the helm. This has a lot going for it.

These screens look gorgeous. They really got the feel of a poorly maintained mental institution. You really don't see enough insane asylums in video games. Let's hope the gameplay is as good as that that game looks.

Please be M.

If we're being thrown into this world, we need to really feel like this is as dark as the screens are showing. Just look at A Serious House on Serious Earth.

A Manhunt style Batman game equals probably the greatest game ever made.

Could never really get into bats...part ninja, part csi investigator (snooze), part pedophile (just too many Robins - couldn't get enough eh Bruce? you might've missed your calling as a priest - ohh I offended even myself with that) And....how in the hell does someone built like Conan perform multiple flips wearing a long billowing cape?!!? Hahahaha! Batman may be iconic to the pop culture of a few different generations but he has always been a silly ass to me...

I believe the Hannibal Lecter-esque guy getting his head beaten in is Victor Zsasz, in which case, awesome.

Paul Dini-written story, Kevin Conroy/Mark Hamill's awesome voice acting, beautiful graphics, multiple bad guys...you would have to TRY to make this game bad to counter all that awesome.

Biobathunt

The game looks amazing, graphics are great, the enemies look cool-- it does remind me a lot of manhunt and now that you mentioned it, it kinda has that bioshock-ish feel.

I hope this is a top notch game.

It's great to see that the unique design for Batman in the Arkham Asylum comic has been ditched and replaced with normal looking batman. Great way to stick to the source material boys!
