It's no secret that I'm rather excited about Clive Barker's Jericho. For a start, it's taking heavy creative input from one of my favorite writers and artists of all time (If you haven't read Sacrament, Imagica or any of the Books Of Blood, then do it immediately after reading this post), and having had a preview of an early build, I can tell you that it's shaping up to be one of the most atmospheric and brutal games I've played in a very long time.
To whet your appetite for the delicious filth Jericho is looking to bring this fall, we've got the new gameplay trailer and a smattering of stills showing off the game's environments for you today. Click, enjoy, and await my fuller reports when I get another go with it at the Leipzig Games Convention next week.
Does anyone know if theres a possibility for 4 player co-op ala Project Eden for PS2?
Because I seem to remember reading something about 4 separate characters in this game that each have different skills that you have to use to progress.
If that's true this game is an instant buy for me.
I enjoyed "The Great and Secret Show" a great deal. The "Books of Blood were also entertaining. The story that always seems to stick in my mind is "In the Hills, In the Cities", which I read as a (barely) young adult. Probably noteworthy for me as my first exposure to homosexuality in a novel (I was about 12 yrs. old), and also as it's just a cool fucking idea. I've been meaning to re-read it for a decade and a half now.
I hope the game lives up to your write-up, though. That vid didn't really do much for me.
wow, dont know whats worse, the horrible voice acting or the crappy models pretending to act...
In this video the only thing I saw that was something I guess different to try out is changing from FPS to FPSword user. Other from that another FPS to the long line of FPS's.
my question is, if your going to play GoW and Halo3, why even bother with more FPS games?
Dear developers, please sort the framerate out, then make the character models look a little less like Marcus Fenix prototypes. Barker rules, and Undying was brilliant, so good luck.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
If its anything equal to the quality of engrossment that I had with Undying, then it wins... automatically

Putting Jericho next to your PS2 breaks it instantly.
Nevermind, I totally mis-understood... I feel like an ARSE now... lol
