New Ridge Racer Unbounded has a Burnout vibe

11:00 AM on 02.04.2011

Ridge Racer Unbounded is the latest in Namco's popular racing series, and this new one isn't like any Ridge Racer you've ever played by the looks of this teaser trailer. Reiko, the Ridge Racer mascot you know and love, goes a little crazy and smashes through some cars demolition derby style.

Is the Ridge Racer series trying out the Burnout formula of racing in the new game? Seems like it. For now we'll just have to wait for more info from Namco Bandai on what they're trying to do with the series.

Ridge Racer Unbounded will be out sometime in 2012 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

P.S. I met the Ridge Racer model at the Namco Bandai event. She was so sweet and nice!

BRRUUAAAPPHH!

It's probably the 12-year-old in me that digs this new commercial for PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures 2. Burping with force waves? Cool. Sound effect stand-ins for farts? Love it. The scream-y Ask Ketchum/Naruto voice over narrator? Tops, man.  Not going to lie: I've watched this more than once. I'm also pretty proud of my screenshot of the boy belching.more
