In its divine wisdom, Screen Gems has decided that it's not enough to give the world yet another Resident Evil movie by Paul W.S. Anderson, but that we would all be better off with a title that captures the true dynamic essence of a fifth entry in a quality series: Re5ident Evil: Retribution.
According to an interview on Collider.com, the new film will feature Las Plagas because that way the infected can "run around, ride motorbikes, and shoot machine guns." Leon Kennedy, Ada Wong, and Barry Burton will make an appearance due to popular request, and they are lifting some driving/turret sequence out of Resident Evil 5.

The wildly successful film franchise adaptation that has grossed nearly $700 million worldwide to the popular video game series, Resident Evil, returns in its highly anticipated fifth installment, RE5IDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION in state-of-the art 3D.
The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, ALICE (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.
Give me a double.
i gave up on these being a good adaptation of the VG series a long time ago, still get some enjoyment out of watching them.
But fuck it so long as wesker comes back and kicks some ass i'll be happy. He was the only good thing about afterlife.
These films set a simple goal of mindless action and they accomplish it quite brilliantly I hear, that and all the fan service they seem to being doing probably helps them keep that dedicated audience of both fans or resident evil and fans of these type of action movies in general.
"XBOX PLAY REFIVEIDENT EVIL"
After the god awful mess that was the 4th movie, I can safely say I'll never watch another one ever again. 1-3 were fine, but 4 just absolutely killed my faith in the film series.
Just. Awful.
I watched the second film and wasn't too wowed by it. It was mainly just mediocre jokes and action scenes, it wasn't bad, but it was nothing special so I haven't seen anything after that.
Watch it.
Love it.
Make love to it.
Watch it make love.
YES!
These films are the only things that make me fanboy rage, I hate Anderson so much!
DEAR GOD WHHHHHHHYYYYYYY!?!??!?!?
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
WHY WON'T THEY STOP MAKING THESE GOD AWFUL MOVIES?!?!?!?
Degeneration was just flatout boring in every way.
Yeah, read the reviews and piss off.
Let's do this.
They never are and, hell, most of the movies were better than RE5's story easily.
Now if you'll excuse me, I must go punch a boulder.
Overall highly enjoyable popcorn movies.
Also, Re5ident Evil? Really? You couldn't just use the V in "Evil"? Are we all too stupid to get Roman numerals now?
Also, it's not like the games didn't have ridiculous plots, let's be serious.
I'm gonna go see the movie, dealwithit.jpeg, now I'm gonna go play some video games
