[New releases is your weekly look at all the hot new titles coming out this week.]
Not much going on this week, but there are two major titles to hold you over for the week. White Knight Chronicles delivers some goodness on the PS3 and Star Trek Online wants to beam you up on the PC.
While this isn't a new release, I highly suggest you get 'Splosion Man this week too, as it's on sale. That game is so crazy!

Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Meet the rest of the team
i have been playing wkc for a few days and for as excited and hopeful i was for this release, the hands-on left me disappointed.
the gameplay is akin to ffxii but with less customization of tactics. selecting auto for your characters is enough. the others are limited to commands like go all out or conserve mp. nothing specific.
the game is super easy so far.
enemies appear to be mostly re-skins from zone to zone with a different color or element type.
not to say that i am not hopeful that it gets better, i am. i am just hoping the online portion (which i have not gotten to try) provides more of a challenge and sense of teamwork than the single player campaign
Getting WKC for my birthday next week so at least if it's fail I know I didn't waste my money on a game that was supposed to be out 2 years ago. (Don't get me wrong it's just that this was one of the first titles mentioned along with PS3)
God, so many games recently... I'm really interested in White Knight Chronicles, but with No More Heroes 2, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and Heavy Rain on my list, I think it may have to wait... :(
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Not to mention Japan is already moving on to the second.
Bastards.
Also, more games? No thanks. I'm still full from last week.
Nope. I believe they delayed a week or two it to mid-late February.

Also, I browsed through the WKC strategy guide yesterday, it looked standard, but fun. I'd like to give it a shot eventually.
