This week sees a ton of major releases for all three major consoles. The one that's been getting the most attention is the PlayStation 3 exclusive, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Reviews have been between 9s and 10s in most places so far and it's looking like Uncharted 2 will be a strong contender for game of the year.
Double Fine's much anticipated Brutal Legend is finally out this week for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. There was a point many feared this game would never see the light of day, but the time has finally come for us to rock the f**k out.
Rounding out the major releases is the Wii exclusive A Boy and His Blob. The game is ridiculous cute, extremely gorgeous and should please fans of the old classic.
Plenty more games are out this week, and a good portion of them are actually good! Hit the break for the full breakdown of new games. What's looking sw33t to all of you?

Hello, Toys R Us.
Getting Brutal Legend free, and probably some placeholder games which I'll swap for Borderlands and Left 4 Dead 2 come October/November.
Woo!
Uncharted 2 for me!! Also, it would be pretty weird if RotWW is actually released without any press whatsoever. So I think it's just an error. Looks like Brutal Legend will have to wait until Christmas and after Borderlands and MW 2.
Uncharted 2 will be at my door tomorrow, Brutal Legend is a possibility but I'm waiting on reviews to see if it's worth my time, the demo left me with mixed feelings.
Buying: Brutal Legend
Renting: The Witcher (that game is going to get SO ignored), Where The Wild Things Are (I have a child, and therefore, an excuse), Way of the Samurai 3 (because, samurais)
As much as people complain about Guitar Hero 3486579, they really need to stop making Singstar games. They started with those before Guitar Hero became popular, and they haven't stopped. Just look up how many there are, worldwide. The numbers are astonishing.
I have Brutal Legend on pre-order and Uncharted 2 can wait.
Seeing The Witcher caught me off guard. If Hamza doesn't know for sure, though, I don't think it's coming out.
I remember seeing a trailer for Dreamkiller. I thought more work would go into it and then I'd be interested; apparently not.
The Witcher console game was put on hold (canceled) several months ago. (http://www.thewitcher.com/community/en/twrotww_news/, scroll to: Development of The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf on hold)
Yeah for all you peeps getting excited for The Witcher, yeah it's not going to happen. So this whole mentioning of it releasing this week is pretty much a big fuck you to the face. Sucks doesn't it? There's always the brutal Demon's Souls.
damn i have to wait till friday to get brutal legend and uncharted2.i hope my toys r us still has some. when does that sale end?
i hope i can still find way of the samurai 3 by then as well.
I'll be getting MagnaCarta 2 and either Way of the Samurai or Hero's Saga (depends on which gets the best reviews). I'll wait and get Brutal Legend probably next year after I'm done squeezing the juices out of all the big releases between now and next spring.
If I had a Wii, I'd be all over A Boy and His Blob and Ju-on.
I have Uncharted 2 and Brutal Legend preordered, and with Borderlands and Tekken next, I will not be going to the movies, or eating, or doing anything that costs money for a while. Here's hoping Dragon Age sucks so I don't have to buy it.
Brutal Legend when I'm done with that Uncharted 2 and A Boy and His Blob if it gets released in UK. Does Where the Wild Things Are look good? I seriously cannot tell >.<
Dammit!! I really should have brought my PS3 back to school with me!! Then again, I just bought NHL 10 so it's not like I can really afford much. But I need Uncharted 2, Brutal Legend and Afrika at some point. Oh and I still have yet to play Fallout 3 so maybe that as well, depending on how Borderlands turns out.
