New releases: The Last of Us is here at last

10:57 AM on 06.10.2013

There won't be many games threatening to draw your attention away from the spectacle of E3 this week, but what we are getting is rather splendid.

The Last of Us seems to have impressed just about everyone, including the lovely Jim Sterling, and you can see what all the gushing is about come Friday. I certainly hope it can live up to the nearly universal acclaim.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf dropped yesterday, but since I consider Sunday a complete write off (it's my hangover day) let's just pretend it came out this week, okay? Other than that we're getting Mighty Switch Force 2 for the 3DS and Zeno Clash II launches on Xbox Live.

What are you splashing out on this week?

PS3: The Last of Us

3DS: Animal Crossing: New Leaf

XBLA: Zeno Clash II

PSN: Flying Hamster HD, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Final Fantasy XIII-2

Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS)

Mighty Switch Force 2 (3DS)

Zeno Clash II (XBLA)

After less than week, Super Smash Bros. 3DS sold over one million

According to a statement from Nintendo, Super Smash Bros. 3DS sold one million copies during its launch in Japan. It's great news that the series can still create such a buzz and sell that much product. The only thing that bums me out is that by the time the New 3DS hits in the US, all of the people I know will make the switch over to Smash Wii U full-time. Nintendo [Twitter]more

Super Smash Bros. 3DS online play allegedly auto-banning Peach

Is Peach your main in Smash Bros.? Well in Japan, she appears to be encountering an issue while playing online -- she's getting banned constantly. Multiple Japanese players are reporting that they are getting 24 hour bans for...more
