New releases: Slicing and dicing in Metal Gear Rising

Shooting in Crysis 3, strategizing in March of the Eagles, and more

I'm aching all over after enjoying the weekend just a wee bit too much, so I don't really feel ready for another Monday. Not having the ability to stop time, I'm just going to have to power through. At least there are plenty of games to help me forget the fact that I feel like death warmed up.

Two big releases are looking set to dominate this week: the obnoxiously named Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Crysis 3, which I guess also has a silly, if more mundane, title. I'm not particularly excited about either of them, but as a chap who favors swords over guns, I'm far more likely to indulge in Raiden's cyborg adventures than any nanosuit shenanigans.

Also dropping this week is Paradox's war-focused Napoleonic romp, March of the Eagles; PC puzzler, The Bridge; crazy platforming, exploring, and turn-based strategy in A Valley Without Wind 2; things for your old PSP; and a bunch of DLC.

What are you splashing out on this week?

Xbox 360: Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Crysis 3, Assassin's Creed III: The Tyranny of King Washington, DmC: Devil May Cry - Bloody Palace

PS3: Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Crysis 3, Assassin's Creed III: The Tyranny of King Washington, DmC: Devil May Cry - Bloody Palace, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Hearthfire

PSP: Hakuouki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi, Generation of Chaos 3: Pandora's Reflection

XBLA: Capcom Arcade Cabinet: Retro Game Collection, Serious Sam Double D XXL

PSN: Capcom Arcade Cabinet: Retro Game Collection, Urban Trial Freestyle

Wait... Is that...? Could it be...? It IS! Gravity Rush's Kat has taken a break from rushing and graviting to sacrifice some souls in Soul Sacrifice Delta! Which isn't even going for $8 on the PS Store right now! What a steal!

Unpopular opinion time: I not only consider Kanye West to be one of my favorite rappers of all-time — yes, I'm being serious — but he's one of the very few people in the world whom I'd consider to be a role model. I truly wish he would notice me one d

"I would buy [game] if I had a Wii U." THEN WHY DON'T YOU!? "I don't want to." So you want to play [game] but you're not willing to buy hardware to play it? "Yes." Guess you don't really want to play [game]. "No, Nintendo should make games for Xbox." ಠ_
