We've been blasted with Muramasa: The Demon Blade for months, which is a good thing as I probably wouldn't have gotten interested in the game otherwise. It looks like a blast and the kind of game the Wii needs more of.
Other than that, I look forward to giving Section 8 a run through. Oh, and Guitar Hero 5 is a biggie this week. RED BLUE GREEN YELLOW ORANGE YEAH!
What's looking sw33t to you all this week, Dtoiders? The jump contains the full list of releases and trailers for most of the games.

Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Meet the rest of the team
I was saddened when I got an email from Gamestop that Muramasa is shipping on the third, not the first. I guess I've waited this long, I can wait a few more days.
So uh... these games were all released earlier this month? You list dates: 8/01, 8/02, 8/03, 8/04 ...did you perhaps mean to use the number "9?" It's a rather good number, and is a favored meal of other numerics.
Alas, Beatles Rock Band comes out next week, and I'm not too rich, so I'll probably have to wait to get Muramasa. But I WILL get it. It's too sexy not to get.
Well that Muramasa picture has officially sold me on the game AND tentacle rape at the same time. That's damn good advertising that I think everyone could learn from.
I really want into Section 8 and Champions Online, but my desktop is dead, so it's a console-only future for me until the DirectX 11 cards (or at least their price points) come out. Man, I hope I don't end up having to buy the console version of Alpha Protocol or Dragon Age.
Looks like Muramasa is officially supposed to be released on September 8 (according to the recent press release I just dug up). But retailers sure seem to think it's out this week; it should start arriving in stores unless we hear otherwise. Keep an eye out.
Muramasa for me, although I'm really not sure how I feel about it. It's getting an awful lot of hype for such a small game, and I think a lot of people are putting hopes and dreams into it that it cannot possibly deliver on.
Muramasa was pre-ordered a while ago. Can't wait. Also, the picture might just be my new Christmas card this year.
Section 8 demo played like a punch in the dick (in a bad way) so I'll skip that.
Beatles Rock Band is meh. So is Guitar Hero 5. Kinda tired of the music games.
Except DJ Hero which will allow me to exercise my white guilt from the safety and comfort of my living room and learn about techno music at the same time.
Muramasa and Fate/Unlimited Codes look awesome. I am kinda surprised a game like the latter would come out here but then again Arcana Heart made it over here so it's not /that/ crazy. I really wish I had the money for Champions, played during the last beta and it was really fun.
I'm picking up GH5 and Champions Online. It's been a while since I've bought any games, but this week definitely seems like it's the start of me getting back in.
In that Muramasa: The Demon Blade video, everytime they show Collette playing it, there should be a loud "Colette! Colette! COLETTE!" voice aka the "Sunday! Sunday! SUNDAY!" monster truck show voice; you know, to emphasize just how into it she is when playing. She looks really absorbed by the gameplay.
I personally will be playing the PC version of Section 8. I support the Games For Windows Live titles, so I will see you guys online with that one. Also, Sept 7th is Labor Day in the USA, so not many business will be running that day, including post office and shipping companies. So I think a lot of releases are being bumped up to the prior Friday (Sept. 4th) for that reason. Just a thought. The Gamestops around me here also say Sept 4th for some of these titles.
Also, is anyone else getting ad pages when trying to click on D-toid articles? I am; it is like how 1Up does it, so it is not a big deal, but I noticed it.
You'll pay for the whole woman but you'll only get the...
Fuck. Besides alreadly calling Colette a prositute there's no way to end that sentense in a way that isn't completely sexist. What about ears? Are ears okay now?!
I'm definitely getting Muramasa, but...did they really have to do THAT in their artwork? -_-
Or are they trying to beat the doujinshi artists to the punch?
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Cue bird picture.
I would love to play Champions Online, but I ain't subscribing. It's a shame too, it looks pretty good.
...*sigh* maybe my people will come out next week for Beatles: Rock Band.
Wait....HOLY SHIT BEATLES: ROCK BAND COMES OUT NEXT WEEK!

yep, there goes the vig.
Gamefly has it as the 8th
I'm more inclined to trust Dtoid and gamestop's release dates, imo.
It is this week though, right?
Finally....
As such, it's Fate/UC and Muramasa.
That said, here's hoping it's worth the $50.
Yeah, not really feeling any of this stuff, so I'll just stick to my current games for now.

You'll only get the EARS!
Nope it still sounds semi-sexual.
I know Gamestop is evil but the stuff you get for pre-ordering is just so cool >___>
