This week is jam packed with some goodness. Batman: Arkham Asylum is the highest game on my wish list for this week. I’m also looking to give Metroid Prime Trilogy a go. Never got through the first one on the GameCube, but hey, no surprise there right?!
Dissidia: Final Fantasy is easily going to be a huge release this week as well. One last good UMD based game for the PSP perhaps?
What’s looking sw33t to you all this week, Dtoiders? Videos for most of the new releases follow the jump.

Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Meet the rest of the team
Layton and Cursed Mountain for me. Thinking about Metroid. As much as I hate Final Fantasy in general, Dissidia looks slightly fun, so I'll probably pick it up used for $10 in a month.
I definitely want Metroid, Layton, and Batman. Despite my limited experience with Final Fantasy, if I had a PSP I'd be all over Dissidia just to play as Kefka.
Definitely going to pick up Dissidia. Batman is in strong consideration. Invincible Tiger looks like fun. Ill wait until I get my Wii back to get Metroid.
Had to cancel my Professor Layton pre-order, since I don't currently have a DS, but I kept my Dissidia and Metroid Trilogy pre-orders in tact, should arrive sometime this week! Never played the Metroid Prime games, so I'm really looking forward to it.
Metroid for sure, maybe Cursed Mountain, but I still need Little Kings Story, and a copy of Persona 3 Fes, and Smallville season 8 comes out tomorrow... sooo we'll see.
Jim, you are not allowed to get excited about video games. You are a games journalist, and as such, you must remain professional and unbiased towards any games, and/or consoles lest ye be deemed a dreaded fanboy of said game and/or console.
So far Dissidia is really good. The story is absolutely appalling, verging on offensive. The writing is just so bad and the acting isn't that great either. Keith David as Chaos saves it a lot, even though it's a small part. It's the first game where after watching a few of the cutscenes I began to skip them all.
Got DISSIDIA ready for week-long delivery (hopefully they get it to our post office quick, then my dad can intercept it, supervising there). If I had cash and the systems, Batman A. A. and Metroid Prime Trilogy for sure, especially with their swag! Ah, to have a Batarang...
Batman + Dissidia = Happy Gamer
Seriously can't wait for Tuesday morning. Toys r Us is Holding a special when you buy Batman AA you get a 30 gift card which I will turn around and spend on Dissidia. BTW the special is only on Tuesday morning from 10am-2pm.
I played the Dissidia demo, and while it was fairly fun I wasn't super impressed. I'll probably wait a while for it.
Layton's gonna be great, and Cursed Mountain looks very cool, but all my gaming money right now's going toward stuff that comes out in about 2 weeks (Muramasa, Beatles RB, Scribblenauts) so I'll probably take a pass on everything right now.
BTW, that live-action Layton commercial was beyond bizarre, but totally awesome. I like the idea that Layton's the kind of guy who rides a train with a handful of women hanging all over him.
one of the greatest weeks ever in releases for me... if it wasn't for the fact that most of the games I'm interested in are released at a later time here in Europe.
Professor Layton for sure. Maybe Cursed Mountain, depending on the reviews - I need a reason to dust off my Wii, it's been collecting dust for the last month. I would say Batman but I know my roommate'll buy it, so I'll just crib it from him.
Batman, for sure. I want Layton, but I'm waiting for some reviews.
Dissidia seems very boring. The demo couldn't even keep my attention. But then again, I like RPG with my FF.
I get Layton 2 on Wednesday and Arkham Asylum on Thurs. Cause of surgery I can't go out and get these games. Which sucks cause I'm impatient when it comes to deliveries.
Metroid Prime Trilogy is everything this week. It's just as good of a deal as Orange Box was. Possibly even better since MP Trilogy actually has improvements in every possible area to the first two games. Best game(s) of the summer, easily. Also, if you say "hurrr I aint buyin it cuz its last gen wit waggle" and you haven't actually played either game, you are really REALLY dumb. If you've played Metroid Prime 3 and you say that it's just "added waggle" you're possibly even dumber.
I've already played through most of Dissidia. It's a very complete "experience" but an absolutely awful game in nearly every respect aside from graphics/sound. It's extremely clunky with no balance, horrible pacing, pretty much zero actual depth to the fighting engine (but it has sooooo many equipment options RIGHT??!?!?! blah blah blah). No, it isn't a good game. It's the worst FF game since Dirge of Cerberus.
I'm getting Dissidia in two weeks, as I'ma FF fanboy and want to crush Sephiroth's face for being too popular.
Also Batman looks promising but too expensive for my small wallet.
Professor Layton looks better than the first but I'll export it from England, as they decided to put French voices in it (that sound horrendous).
And I'll wait for Metroid Prime Trilogy, as I already played two of them and so I can wait much longer.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
But seriously, Collette needs to get a review of Cursed Mountain up in this bitch quick fast. I need to know how it is before I buy it.
I'm beyond excited for Professor Layton, though. Getting it tomorrow.
I think I need to replay The Curious Village, lest somebody discover that I hate being told I'm wrong.
That being said, you are such a sony fanboy.
But then it is a fighting game.
No love for Disgaea 2 PSP in two weeks? I've already played Dissidia and I can't stand how boring the game is.

and that is IT!

Anyways, this is a good week.

Batman and Mana Khemia 2.
Also, Invincible Tiger reminds me of Rag Doll Kung Fu, expect less flimsy and silly.
