There's some confusion on the new releases list this week and there might be a ton more games out this week than what's actually listed after the break. At the very least, everything that's listed are the major titles out of the bunch. Unless you think shovelware is a lot better in this case.
Anyway, the only game I have some slight interest in getting is Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood. What's looking sw33t to you all this week?
Hit the break for the list of releases and trailers for most of the games.

Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Typical, I look forward to BlazBlue for months and months only to get shafted with no UK release date, add to that they region lock both the NTSC and NTSC-J versions.
Call of Juarez for me, for some reason I thought it was out last week on Steam. Anyway, I loved the trailer and gameplay videos of CoJ (fuck me how many games can be shortened to something o something now?!) so I think I will be picking it up at some point if not first day.
Mind you I just got Morrowind:GOTY edition for £2.99 so that may take up my time for the foreseeable future!
BlazBlue looks cool and all but if I buy it I'll probably want to buy an arcade stick too, as I can't imagine getting serious about a fighter using any of the standard Wii controller options. So I think I'll wait until Tatsunoko vs. Capcom comes out and buy them both at the same time with a Stick.
@ Xhumation
I dont think it will be released over here in mexico, i mean battle fantasia wasnt released this one has more publicity though so who knows. Just import it from somewhere like gamestop or play-asia.
@DinnertimeNinja
You have to consider that each character is unique there are no shotoclones, also alternate versions of the characters can be unlocked. There is also the story mode which has several branches for each character. I should also point out that this isn't some "read the screen and click buttons for yes and no" but has audio dialogue throughout along with animated cutscenes. If you enjoyed the story mode in guilty gear you'll love the one in blazblue.
I considered most of that stuff and I'm not the type that's simply concerned with "OMG This game has only 12 characterz?!" But in fighting games, I normally like to main 3 or 4 characters, and if the roster is limited, it's possible that there simply won't be enough characters that I like.
On the other hand, games like Tekken (despite the fact that I still love it) I find now I have TOO many characters. It's nearly impossible to learn high level defense against 50 separate characters unless you live in a competitive gaming hub.
In the end, I think I'm just going to plop it on my Goozex queue.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

Less anime movie, MORE Gameplay, sheesh.
I cannot wait to get my copy. Kicking down 2x4's, Reading the Bible, & Shooting Cowboys at the same time. Cereals! It's in the game.
@DaedHead8: BlazBlue is not coming to Wii; it's PS3 and 360 only.
For some strange reason I thought it was a Wii exclusive. hmmmmm I guess I'll be purchasing it sooner than I thought.
by alll means. hit me up on 360 for this game folks. It's gonna be a wetty wet one.

I liked Guilty Gear a lot, but I don't know if I have time for another competitive fighter.
Also, I can't decide whether I actually LIKE the there's only 12 characters or if it'll feel to restrictive.

REBEL 1!!
Does anyone know when it is coming out in the UK :( the other versions aren't PAL region free.
No, it is a full retail game. It used to be PSN-only, then PS3 disc only and now PS3/360 disc based.
