The "real life" Punch Out! Picture there is simultaneously the best and most terrifying thing I've ever seen.
The game will most likely be fun, but I think it will quickly become stale after a few matches. The multiplayer mode just doesn't seem to be that great. The customization for single player seems to extend the replay value of the game. But I'd most likely play Fight Night Round 4 when Punch-Out gets boring.
How about a mode, where you can play as the OTHER fighters? Surely that would be intersting and increase the replay value of the game.

I've never played a Punch-Out!! game in my life. After seeing that picture, I don't know if I want this to change.
I like the idea of per-fight achievements. I imagine that they would encourage old-school players to find the old-school tricks and shortcuts.
@ everyone- I have no idea where I got that picture, but like all "realistic" depictions of Nintendo games, I totally love it.
I can't wait to see what Bald Bull looks like in 3D. His weird little head bump thingy always confused me...

Next Level Games has got your back... no need to worry about lack of replay value. Besides, the Punch-Out!! games already had replay value of trying to beat opponents as fast as possible without getting hit yourself. This time though, you'll be rewarded for it. On top of that, the pick up style of Punch-Out will keep you comnig back for more. Sometimes, short games are blessing in disquise. I mean, how many times are you going to play a 30-60 hour game ?
