Our British and Irish PSP brothers-in-thumbs have already been gifted with the download service called Go!View. Go!View utilizes Sky Digital’s broadcasting ability to provide PSP users with several different services, channels, and access to movie downloads. That kind of opportunity may soon be available for North American PSP owners as well. PSPFanboy was recently lurking the Sony support page and found this nice bullet point pertaining to one of the new features of 4.05:
Support for PLAYSTATION Store Movies and TV video service.
Now, any reasonable person would say, “Wait until the Sony conference at 2 P.M. EST to speculate.” I’m not a reasonable person, though. How cool would it be to download
Power Rangers: The Movie or the television series
Dexter on your PSP? The options are as endless as we want them to be this early in the game. Imagine watching documentaries that pertain to hobbyist activities like making paper airplanes or collecting pieces of wood while you’re sweating on the elliptical machine. I wonder if any producer is thinking about offering an entire season of
The West Wing?
Unfortunately, we can’t use this hidden functionality right now on our blessed little machines. If we could, what do you think will be offered? What movies would you want on your PSP?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I bought the PSP to play games and nothing else, make more games!
The more functionality the PSP the better. I travel a lot for my job and I am constantly watching movies on my PSP. Very nice.
I can encode just about anything to PSP format (with a free video converter's handy PSP preset) with no problem.
Or (if we're dreaming here) Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe.
He's such a nerd. Billy that is.
Oh, and now Jason is a fatass.
Jason is a fatass
Quite presumptuous of you. Its none of your business what he does with his PSP so bugger off.
What sucks though is that my psp screen got cracked in my bag flying home from Florida. So now I have a slip psp with a cracked screen. I called the airlines and they said they weren't to be held responsible for MY error in packing my psp. (Even though it was in it's case)
Jeez =/
